Jeanne Bice and her cause of death

Started 1309067647.493 in Fashion Talk | Last reply 1317251651.6 by alarmclock

I would like to know the medical cause for Jeanne's death. It was so sudden, so unexpected. I did not know that she was even sick. She missed out coming for one show. Angel said she was under the weather, and soon after that, the next I heard, she was gone. If anyone knows the answer to my question, please, do reply. Thanks. We will miss her !

I do not know - I'm not even sure if folks at the Q know for sure, maybe more testing is being done. I do know that she had uterine cancer and apparently, it was "treatable". Many on these boards have speculated, but the only definite detail I can tell you is that she had cancer, but it sounded like that was just a portion of this puzzle.

{#emotions_dlg.sad}I googled her and found an article and they said she had found out that she had cancer, but didn't say what kind of cancer. It won't be the same without her.

That information has not been released, however in an article posted on here it stated she took a nap and did not wake up.

There are so many "Jeanne" threads that I don't have any idea of where that article is posted.

{#emotions_dlg.sad}I know, I was shocked when I heard. I had to check it out to see if I heard it right! I couldn't believe it. I watched her on a visit and then after that I saw April doing the next visit, but she said that Jeannie was not feeling well, but she was at home doing sketches and plans for new things.

I saw April on again and I thought that maybe she was still recovering, no one had said anything about cancer. Then I went online Friday to find she had passed away and they had the memorial! I was so sad! I didn't know about any uterine cancer, but after losing 3/4 of my family to it in the last few years, I know how complications can happen, or infections or even the chemo or treatments can turn bad, quickly. With my uncle they thought it was treatable only to find out later that it was far worse than it showed.

I loved watching her, she was always good for getting you laughing and lightening up your day. She was one person who was so vibrantly full of life, no holds barred! I loved it when she would say something bawdy and make the hosts blush and crack up! If only we could bottle her essence and hand it out. How great would THAT be!?

I was wondering what happened also, since the said she was just "under the weather" and then suddenly she was gone, with no reason or explaination. It was upsetting, it was so fast and I felt like we were all left in the dark about it all. But then maybe being such a positive person she didn't want to have her ladies worrying. I sure hope they continue the line the way Jeannie would have. She left behind her joy, fun and cute designs that brought alot of smiles.

I read an article from her old hometown newspaper that said she decided to take a nap and never awoke from that nap. She had just talked with an QVC person earlier. I think some are thinking a blood clot may have killed her as she had suffered from them during her bout with uterine cancer. Maybe her fans will know something definitely in the future.

It's none of anyone's darn business how she died. God, let the woman rest in peace.

Unless the family releases that information, her privacy should be respected regarding her cause of death.

There were many , many threads about this... she had uterine cancer which she was getting treatment for, and she had a blood clot in her lung which caused her sudden death.{#emotions_dlg.sad}

You wouldn't be human if you weren't curious about the cause of death of someone you know. I know it feels good to play the high and mightly role of public condemnation of those who want to know more about Jeanne B and how she died, but you are not being honest or real.

What posture do you take when someone dies, no curiosity as to how and why, just a blind acceptance of the fact that they are dead? You'd have to be a very dull person to be so uninterested.

I think this may be a rumor. Unless you know for a fact it is true.

For the last few (or more) shows, she was too ill to come to the studio.

I knew the third time she missed a show that she must be terminally or at least horribly ill.

And obviously, she was.

Boy, if your supervisor in the hospital heard you speaking about a person's illness, it could be a dismissal beause they is called confidentuallity. We know she passed and we know she had cancer, and that is more information than we need to know. It's the family's business how she died not ours. It is so sad that she did and we will miss her, but mind your business and just give her a good shout out.

I was shocked to hear of Jeannes passing. She was such a joy to us and to the world! Even if I didn't buy I enjoyed watching her. It's always such a shock when it is so sudden. Carry on for her Angel, you know she will be watching!

I agree with you Bazzy. After all, Jeanne was a public figure and seemed like a personal friend to so many on QVC. Of course we are interested in the details of her sudden passing just like anyone else who gets public attention. I would say that the vendors who are so loved are like celebrities to their watching.fans and :friends".But on the other hand if it is the family requests no details be given then we must respect that.

I am very happy that in her wisdom and maybe in the anticipation of her possible upcoming death (she knew more than we) Jeanne choose the lovely and sweet Angel to represent her. Angel's name completely describes her.

I think a lot of people need to know what a person died of to bring closure. I've never had that kind of curiousity, but I certainly understand why others do.

Let me know if you suddenly become interesting.

When most people learn someone they know or care about has passed away, one of the first things they ask is "what happened". And if, in real life, people responded with "it's none o your business" it would seem like a bizarre response! Obviously people clicked on this thread because THEY TOO were curious about what happened! Otherwise based on the title of the thread, they wouldn't have opened it.

I assume she is. Do you really think she is reading these boards?
