What ever happened to the Citiknits line that QVC used to sell?

The old Citiknits have aparently been replaced with "Effortless Style by Citiknits." This is a new fabrication that some like and others do not like.

I had a lot of the old CityKnits and I gave every piece I had to St. Vinnys. The old stuff looked kinda good but weighed a TON as I found out trying to take them on a vacation. Very heavy fabric and I think that is why you can't find it anymore, at least on the Q. I watch but don't buy the new CityKnits... but I did buy a sweater recently which was so very nice so they have totally changed out from that very heavy slick stuff they used to sell. I am still wary of them so will tread softly.

I was a CitiKnit fan too - my all-time favorite dress from CitiKnit was the funnel neck dress with dolman sleeves. The belt was terrible - a real throw-away - but the dress has proven to be a work horse in black. Now if I could just get Effortless Style to remake this dress with the same perfect neck...

I finally broke down and bought the new Effortless Style ballerina dress and found I am in love with it and with the fabric. I got it in all 4 colors. You might think about taking a look at that item and read the glowing reviews.

I liked the original acetate spandex fabric - so I'm back to Chico's Travelers.

I tried the Effortless Style - but it's a fabric I can find anywhere. I normally only buy things from QVC that I can't find for less money elsewhere.

Thank you "TheOwl." Their sweaters are very different so I will take your word for it that the ballerina dress is a keeper. When I get off of these blogs, I'll take a look at them. I have the Susan Graver dress, it is like that one?

On HSN you'll find Slinky brand knits, the same as the old Citiknits. There are many styles on the website. The garment measurements are available if you click on the little measuring tape icon next to the product information.

I tried one piece of Slinky brand. While it is an acetate spandex blend - it was very flimsy fabric.
