Coach Purse - Should I Use Scotchguard?

I found a fabulous deal on a wonderful fabric, green/teal-colored Coach purse at the outlet store today. It was half off with another 20% off of that. My question is: Should I spray Scotchguard on it to preserve it from dirt and grime? What is your experience or opinion?

I scotchguard everything, fabric shoes, fabric and cloth bags, I think it definitely heolps but just remember thaqt once is not enough. Scotchguard is a surface protection and it will wear off the fabric so I would do it every few months. More if you carry the bag frequently.

I think most Coach fabric bags are already treated. Check the inside pockets there should be a card in one of them with care instruction. If not check their web site.

Thank you for the advice. I never thought to check the inside of the purse or the website, but I will do that. Also, thank you for the information about Scotchguard. I always thought it was a one-shot deal and the protection was forever. Happy New Year to all!.

I think I'm going to try Scotchguard on my next fabric Coach purse. I have a black Coach tote that I bought for about $500. I carry it quite a bit, and I recently noticed that in the sun it sort of takes on purple & gray hues. Maybe Scotchguard could have prevented the fading??? My brown Coach hobo seems like it was already treated with something because I've been able to wipe it off with a damp cloth when it gets stained.

Enjoy your new bag, Northcoast. What a great way to start the year! {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}
