Tracfone Question

Ho,

Do you know if you can transfer Airtime to a new Tracfone? I want a new phone as the one I have now is just basic and I want one that you can take pictures with. When I bought the one I have now I didn't realize they had one that you could take pictures with. Any suggestions on a good one? TIA

Yes, if you keep the same number, your minutes and time will transfer to the new phone.

Hi Butterfly. I bought the Samsung S390G Tracfone from the other channel when it was a TS a couple months ago. I'm really liking it so far. It looks similar to a Blackberry. Is that something you'd be interested in? Have you looked on Tracfone's webpage at the selection of phones? I recently bought my uncle his first cell phone from Tracfone. I saw a basic Samsung flip phone in ShopRite for 7.50 (on sale). I think it's as basic as it comes in this technology era, but it still had a camera! {#emotions_dlg.laugh} Hope you find something you love.

I also have the S390G Samsung Tracfone that looks like a Blackberry. I like it, but I kind of wish it had a touchscreen like an Android smartphone. Not sure if you can get a Tracfone in that config though.

I've been with them since the they started cell phone service. But today I've ended with them. Not only did that tried their first cell phone with touchscreen back in 12/11! I lost 4,000 minutes and have a touchscreen phone that is no good because the 3x sim cards they had sent me FedEx could never worked after I had ported my number over. They really messed up my account. Someone there changed the ported over number to a local number. Well today after speaking with someone in the head department telling me I have to buy a card and loose all 4,000 minutes on a triple the minute phone was no excuse on their part.

I also bought the Samsung TS from HSN and the minutes on my old phone were transferred to my new phone and I did get a new number. If you activate online and the minutes don't transfer over, call their customer service line and they'll make it happen. My mother has had a few Tracfones, also, and the minutes were always transferred to the new phone.

I have the touch screen phone from them LG800 (I think it is) and I've liked it just fine. I've also learned that you e-mail them on their web page if you want any kind of action. Calling them isn't really helpful unless it's just porting over a number, etc.

Altech - either e-mail them or call their number in FL - find it on the web page. You don't get anywhere with the call center where they don't speak English and are reading off a script.

All in all, I'm happy with the service. I never lose calls like I used to with Verizon. It's the best call quality that I've experienced.

I love my LG800G too. I've had it since January and have had no problems whatsoever with it.

Easy to use and never have dropped calls.

Post that you've lost your minutes on their Forum. However, their Forum is really stupid, you have to make 5 posts before you can get any help. My old Tracfone lost all its minutes one time for no apparent reason. I got them back by posting on their forum where they PM'd me with the codes I needed to enter. Don't waste your time calling them.

How is this phone as far as getting to the camera quickly? The one I have is an LG (querty) but Ihave to go through too many things to get to the camera. My old Motorola was one step to the camera.

Thanks!

You press the camera icon

So would that be right on the screen at all times? (Sorry, I'm not real techy).
