It's unlimited everything $45 a month you need to buy the Android Touch Screen Smart Phone to get the best out of it though. $149 at Wally mart.

Has anyone had any kind of problems with Straight Talk? Thinking about changing. I'm tired of Sprint doing what they please, when they please.

I have a smart phone thru straight talk -- had if for nearly a year. Their customer service is not the best, but I've had no trouble with my phone or service. I ditched att as a protest to their billing practices--overcharging for texting, charging extra to enable tethering and holding you hostage with a contract or making you pay an outrageous amount for the phone without a contract.

Thanks for answering. Sprint is just as bad in different ways. I'm seriously thinking Straight Talk. I had ATT years ago. Same problems then.

LOVE Sprint! Rarely dropped a call in 11 years. Best customer service ever.

I've had Sprint a little longer than that and I used to love them too. Not anymore.

Wow...I've had Sprint for....ready for it...9 years! Perhaps we have a lot more cell sites here than other areas such as the south and southwestern suburban Chicago areas, but I have had no problems ever. I have Unlimited Plan and I have no surprise bills at the end of the month.

But these new prepaid plans that are including EVERYTHING unlimited gives me pause to think. If I can save $30 a month for the same services and perhaps use my own Android phone or whatever..I may think about it.

Boost is another prepaid supplier BUT be advised it is associated with Sprint.

One of my friends has prepaid and LOVES IT!! She is very happy with the service and the price! No complaints

I never used to have any problems, but now my bill changes without any notice or explanation and in the last few months I've had dropped calls and received text messages two or three days late. And the messages I send sometimes don't send or they are received late.

I used to brag about them but I've recently stopped and now know what some of the complainers have been talking about over the years.

My first cell phone was one of those big oblong block looking ones that you see in movies every once in a while. It worked great.

Do you really need unlimited? If you can figure out your average usage consumer cellular is really good with no contract and great CS. You can set a warning, allowing you to up-grade your plan at no charge so that you never incur extra minute fees.

Funny timing, a friend just told me how happy she is with Straight Talk yesterday after I was telling her I was ready for my current phone contract to be up due to the cost.

I don't really need unlimited minutes, but I need unlimited text. I've got two daughters and a grandaughter who do nothing but text. i might check with Consumer Cellular. But Straight Talk sounds pretty good.

Thanks for all the replys

Depending on where you live the carrier could be SPRINT since Tracfone runs Straight Talk and the sim cards inside the phone can be:

You don't want to use AT&T networks though they're the worst on the Tracfone network system. Net10 is also Tracfone company too. They have unlimited calling too $50 a month. The cheapest is Straight Talk though.

The carriers here are Verizon and AT&T. I've read that only phones with model numbers that end in C for cdma use Verizon and the rest use AT&T.

we have had straight talk since june and have never had any problem with it until recently, the last 3 weeks or so, poor reception and dropped calls, and I mean 50% of the time, even tried upgrading the phone and that was just worse.....so we are moving on, and believe me I have investigated ALL of them, consumer report stated that Verizon is #1 for contractual plans and virgin mobile is #1 for non contractual plans.

when all is said and done........will you have said more than done?
