Pleasantly surprised with my purchase of a BHG, Caramel Pecan scented candle.

I found these at W__mart. Very nice amount of scent not over the top!!

The best part is they are made in the US!!

I'm burning the same scent....paid $4.98...bought spice cake and caramal pecan and they are wonderful burning together. I'm going back to get more this weekend...I just don't want to spend so much on candles anymore...these are perfect!

That sounds great!! I should have picked up a few but wasn't sure they were anything

special. I will run back back this week & get the Spice cake, that was my 2nd choice.

Thanks for your feedback.

Are they burning clean? I got a black cherry candle from W-mart and I could see black soot coming off the flame.

That wasn't the brand I had so I'm willing to give the BH&G brand a try. The price sure was right.

Yes, mine are burning very clean, but I use the S'toppers on all my jar candles. I find that no matter what brand, they all throw soot if you don't get the flame to burn steady. I have ceiling fans through my house and forced air heat, so there is little chance of a flame burning steady in any room of my house.

Virginia Candles used to sell the S'toppers in all kinds of cute designs, but the last time I checked, they only had a few. I bought some that have pumpkins and a scrarecrow on them....darling...and another that is a witch stirring a cauldron....just adorable! The cauldron is the open part through which the candle burns...these are little toppers that remain on the candle while it burns....they really work great and keep the candle form sooting.

I can't believe this! I just now went to "candles" to post about these! I bought 3 Caramel Pecan yesterday. They are wonderful!!!! The Spice Cake was my 2nd favorite, but I love eating Spice Cake and I was afraid it would make me WANT Spice Cake all day! LOL

I never thought about buying and burning both at once.

I thought the Apple ????(can't remember full name) was awful.

I called my Mom to tell her about these and she had the Spice Cake yesterday also.

Not sure if anyone has been reading the recent posts here and on the Home Forum about the Better Homes and Gardens wax melters and wax cubes that are now being sold in Wal-Mart. Also Wal-Mart and Hobby Lobby are stocking melters and wax cubes by Scentsationals. The posters that have tried them have been posting that they are so happy with their purchase and the quality of these products. They are both (Better Homes and Gardens and Scentsationals) made by Scentsationals. They have them online at Hobby Lobby and Wal-Mart also. Scentsationals has a website if you care to check it out. Just put ".com" at the end of Scentsationals. Just wanted you to know that the Better Homes and Gardens candles are also made by Scentsationals. I have tried the wax cubes by both BH&G and Scentsationals and I like them very much. I can use one cube only and smell it upstairs and downstairs. They also have a Facebook page and they posted yesterday that starting Oct. 1st they are offering 20% off everything on their website. This will last for 2 weeks I believe it said.

That's very good info. I did not see the wax melts in CT Walmarts. I can just order using site to store. I am looking forward to trying the 3 wick that many have raved about.

I want to say it was the Hazelnut Cream by Mainstay.

Yes, the Hazelnut Cream is by Mainstays, and I can vouch for that one. Love it! That brand is not made by Scentsationals. You can't beat the price though on either candle. Right now not all Wal-Mart stores are carrying the wax cubes but they are supposed to all have them by the end of October. The BH&G brand melters and cubes are in the seasonal section. Online, Wal-Mart only has the Scentsationals cubes and warmers, but they are offering the seasonal warmers by BH&G too. Very cute!

Sorry mima, I knew I wouldn't explain it right! LOL I looked at the YC website, they call it an Illuma-Lid. I find it really does help to burn candles evenly.

Had to go to Walmart today for cat food and, of course, cruised by the BHG candles...and had to buy Autumn Apple...maybe it is just these paticular scents, but I've never had candles burn so nice (I use S'toppers and that helps)...or throw so much scent...I have the Caramel Pecan and Spice Cake burning together....yummy.

Hope the Autumn Apple is as nice...they had some other scents too, but I did not have time to examine. These really are great candles. I simply don't want to spend a fortune on candles anymore.

We have a small B&B and I light candles outside whenever we have guests...so I have maybe 8 candles burning at a time....These really are perfect because those scents carry so nicely on the cool night air.

I'm happy...

I am burning the three wick 14.5 oz Harvest Berry from WMart made in the USA in Charleston SC. I think I paid $5. The candle burns very clean, no drowning wick and the throw is really nice. I'm a Slatins fan but my budget is loving the WMart candles.

Around Christmas time, Wall Mart has cranberry scented candles that I love. I stock up at that time. I also love to use the candle rings on my jar candles. They let the candles burn down evenly. Aren't candles wonderful?!!! {#emotions_dlg.tt1}

I had to order the electric wax melter from W-mart online. Where are you ladies finding the wax melts? We don't have them in CT. One post said by the end of Oct most stores should have them. I am ref. to the Sentsationals.

I might order from Scentsy because people just rave about the scents:).

Some WalMart stores have the Better Homes and Gardens brand wax cubes and melters (which are made by Scentsationals). They are in the fall decor section with the other BH&G seasonal items. Scentsationals Facebook page indicated that all WalMart stores would have the Scentsationals wax cubes by the middle to end of October. Hobby Lobby carries them and you can order them online from Scentsatioanls or online at WalMart. I have tried both the Scentsationals brand and the BH&G brand and was pleased.

I haven't had much luck with the Walmart tarts. I would suggest ordering from some vendors suggested on this forum. Almost all are having great sales & offer single tarts so you can sample scents.

I bought the Spice Cake candle and tarts and a few other scents in the tarts. I have to say I'm disappointed in the candle because the wick started drowning pretty much right away. I'm in love w/the scent, but with the wick drowning, I can barely smell it anymore. The tarts don't have a very long burn time either. If I start it in the morning on the weekend and go all day, it's pretty much done. I guess for the price I can't really complain and the scents are great! I went back to get more of the cubes, but they ran out quickly. {#emotions_dlg.sad}

I have found a wealth of information on "What's in your burner?" on FB. They have tons of suggestions on vendors, burners, scents, etc. ~ I'm hooked. People are always posting suggestions for websites for burners as well. I found a great deal on a burner on ebay http://shop.ebay.com/creativescents2010/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686

When I got my set of 2 burners, they were $13.99, so they've gone up some in price but are fantasic burners! Another site suggested for burners on the What's in your burner page was http://www.vistawholesale.com/CandleWarmers_s/52.htm. They're basically the same burners I got.

I hope this helps everyone!! Happy melting!
