Best Undereye Concealer for Aging Eyes

Started 1267382756 in Beauty Banter | Last reply 1267569208 by monicagirl
If you're over 40 and have found that perfect concealer for the undereye area that doesn't make you look even OLDER ... please post! I'm just about to give up. Not a lot of wrinkles or shadows ... just looks like an aging eye! Thanks.

Hi, I love Bobbi Brown. I just tried Mally as per the reviews, but that was very drying, so I am back to BB. Bobbi Brown is very creamy and if you pat it down properly, won't settle into fine lines. The wrong concealer can add 10 years!!!

I agree with 911.
Bobbi Brown Concealer/Corrector kit. Also, make sure you get a good color match. Go to a BB counter and have the sales associate match you for it.

I've been looking for the same thing! I also tried the Mally and found it incredibly drying.

BB corrector is very nice under her concealer, and a brightener above it like a touche eclat or trisha sawyer eye bright. I like to just dab an eye cream over the concealer just to give a dewey look sometimes.

Love me, love my cats:)

here is my 4 step process, no settling, and looks great for me.
Primer - I use Monistat Anti chafing Gel (all over face including under eyes)

Cover Girl now has the one mixed with the Olay. I don't remember what it is called but the folks on this board seem to like the makeup. I am finding it does not settle in my lines and does not look too drying. They also have a cream blush with the Olay.

Diorskin Nude, hands down the best. Does not cake and lasts all day. I've tried them all, including the BB, and they all cake.

I am 70 years old and can pass for 50 or lower! The skin care product that I have found to be the best for me after trying them all are a brand not sold on the Q. It is Emlin. I have a beauty consultant in Macy's in Atlanta that keeps me stocked as it is not sold anywhere near where I live in PA. Believe me, nothing works as good as their products. I could not live without them. Their concealer is just great. Highly recommend. Many people ask me what I use but when they see the price of the Emlin products they do not buy. I am retired and I still buy but I have found nothing to take their place. Their claim to fame is oil of mink.

SCA's anchor woman Blue. Honestly, I don't know how is works, but it just melts into my skin and covers any discoloration.

I found that BB Corrector and Concealer with sheer yellow powder works the best for me. She makes a number of shades, so it's important to go to a counter to find the right one. Also, I use either BB's Hydrating Eye Cream or her newer Extra Eye Repair and I have heard that these eye creams contain a primer that helps them go on smoothly. I set with a small amount of sheer yellow powder and I'm good to go!

Hi expatgal,
I am using Paula's Choice concealer. I like the coverage and it is
not drying. Wears well, creamy, neat little container. Has good
reviews on MUA.

Thanks

I have used Diane Young C-Circles Vanish for years. It is my favorite undereye concealer. Unfortunately, QVC just decided that my auto-delivery program is complete. Guess I will have to order directly from Diane's website from now on.

I just started using Maybelline's Super Stay Concealer. It seems to stay on a long time and can be purchased at most drugstores.

I recently picked up It Cosmetics' Bye Bye Undereye, thanks to recs on this board. It doesn't settle in lines and seems to last and last. A little goes a loooong way, too. This is the first concealer I've liked. Ever.

I know I won't be popular, but I have the BB corrector and the concealor/powder and it is very dry looking and yellowish. I recently found Mabellene Age Rewind, dual and it is fantastic.

50's, fair skin with pink undertones, freckles when young, dry to normal and a little sensitive. Dark brown straight hair, sometimes highlighted (very lightly)

The under eye cover cream? I looked online at emlin.com. Thanks!

I am absolutely thrilled with Garnier tinted roll on concealer - like the green one that got so-so reiews, but in a tinted formula. It glides on and covers like a dream, is lightweight, and helps with puffiness. Plus it lasts all day and no settling into fine lines! I picked it up at Boots in London last week, but it should be available in the states soon - and so worth keeping an eye out for. All that and it was $16 - woohoo!!!
