Evening Primrose Oil on Scalp?

Started 1266685757 in Beauty Banter | Last reply 1266690230 by Shelbelle
I started taking EPO supplements in hopes it will help hair thinning (as well as for other omega oil benefits), but I was wondering if anyone here has used on scalp or has info on that kind of application. TIA ladies.

Highlife........nice to meet you.....
I'm 56 years old and have noticed that my hair has been thinning over the past 6 months. I don't know if EPO applied to the scalp would help, but, have you read that taking oral supplements will help? I just started taking Biotin and Vitamin D and will report my results, if and when I see any.
I have a Thyroid problem and take meds for it. My regular MD said my levels are fine, but, I'm seriously thinking of seeing an endocrinologist.

Hi, Lotus - thanks. I do take Lessman Healthy Hair and nails (about 4500 mg of biotin) and about 2000 mg of vitamin D. I take synthroid to suppress growth of a thyroid nodule (strike one) and two blood pressure meds (strike two) and I am almost 57 (post-menopausal, strike three), so anything to help keep what I have will be appreciated. What the heck, maybe I'll try topically applied EPO!
