Looking For Something Similar to Estee Lauder Double Wear

Started 1279895565.243 in Beauty Banter | Last reply 1280170377.423 by Cerrone756

I am using Estee Lauder's Double Wear.

Is Double Wear the best there is for long lasting matte foundation? Anything better?

Thanks :)

Although I prefer DoubleWear, Revlon Colorstay is a very close second.

Although I've never tried the original Double Wear, I've found that Maybelline's Super Stay and Rimmel's 16 Hr. foundations both to be excellent duplicates for Double Wear Light.

I've worn Estee Lauder's Double Matte (long-wearing for oily skin) for 15 years or more, including again this summer. I now wear Estee Lauder's Double Wear during the winter months when my skin is not quite so oily. There is absoutely no foundation quite like it. In a pinch, however, I purchased Revlon's Color Stay and was amazingly surprized. No touch-ups required with either foundation!!!!

Definitely Revlon Colorstay. This is my HG foundation now. And it took me about 15 years to find one I could say that about. Often CVS or Walgreens will run it on sale, sometimes by one get one free. The Colorstay powder is good too.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra is another long lasting foundation. Estee Lauder also makes Double Wear in an actual Matte version.

I've been using Lancome's new Tient Idole Fresh Wear and love it. The coverage is moderate (and I think a bit light), but I don't need much if any concealer. Not inexpensive but, has great staying power.

Have not tried the Colorstay formula, but I have always wondered about it as well.

As others have recommended, Revlon ColorStay is a great, long-wear matte foundation.

Just wondering, though...if you are happy with EL Double Wear, why change? Finding a great foundation that works for you is a wonderful thing!

Clarins has one! It is called Everlasting, and the name just says it all!

Thank you so much for your answers. I am going to go with Revlon. I have, in the past, used it. Where i work it is inside and outside and I feel like I'm wasting my money on Double Wear. I don't care how good a foundation is it just can't stand up against 100+ Texas heat and humidity ;P LOL.
