Setting powder for under eye concealer?

Started 1276432263.407 in Beauty Banter | Last reply 1276661840.477 by angelcat47

I've use Senna for many years and really love it. However....(rant) I recently repurchased and have noticed that the compact is almost half gone in about a month's time. In the past these have lasted me for at least 8-9 months. I'm convinced they've changed the formula somehow. Mineral Veil (or Bisque) doesn't do it for me under the eye area, draws too much attention and settles into fine lines, etc. I'm on the hunt for a new replacement....Not looking for an all over face powder, just one specifically for the eye area.... Suggestions??

Mally has a setting powder in her Cancellation Concealer duo.

I found the concealer too drying for me personally, but I didn't have a problem with the setting powder. I do think there are many people who really like it. It may be worth a try.

I second this, I like the texture of the powder in this duo and it lasts!

I can third this duo. I don't find the concealer too drying for me, and the powder makes it last all day.

Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder with the special brush is the best I have found. A little goes a long way and the container lasts several years! I'm still on my first. And I use it every day!

I've been using Bobbi Brown's from the face palette that has brightener, concealer, foundation and the fine milled powder. Mine is the lightest shade so the powder is totally colorless, and I apply it gently and sparingly and it works great.

Doesn't settle in my fine lines (I'm 64) and keeps makeup in place. I love it, and it lasts forever.

I use a loose translucent powder under my eyes and it works very well.

The best I found is powderflage by Benefit. Doesn`t settle into fine lines, concealer stays put & last all day {#emotions_dlg.thumbup} hth

I usually use the Bobbi Brown powder, but I went looking for an alternative and found the Carmindy Natural Beauty powder. I do not have it in front of me to check the name, but it is a yellow pressed powder.

ok2...thanks..yes, i have the LM SBP but i use this as the last thing i put on to kinda brighten up that area not to "set" my concealer...it's a great product! i wish some of these were sold separately....like the Mally powder. (i don't need any more concealers, must have at least 10!) thanks much TO ALL for taking the time to respond..appreciate it!

I tried Laura Mercier secret brightening powder because of so many rave reviews. I found it to have a little too much sparkle in it (very fine, but it's there).

So I tried Laura Gellars new Shimnmer Down powder under the eyes and PRESTO--looks fantastic with no sparkle. Plus it costs less than LM. I use it to set my concealer and brighten under the eyes (it is a very soft eggshell color). It is very finely milled just like the LM product and does not settle into fine lines & wrinkles.

Yep, sold on qvc. It is marketed for other uses, which you'll see on the video. But it is a great multiuse powder. Also, LOVE the brush it comes with!

I have YBF yellow neutralizing powder which works well. I haven't tried the LM or Benefit which I really want now since I love Benefit.

Having said that, I think Mally's setting powder is great if I don't put on too much. I also use it on top of liners that aren't waterproof and it sets it. I've had her cancellation concealer for about a year now since I alternate concealers all the time.

birdie, they DO sell the powder as a refill...see A150037....it is the # for both the concealer and powder refills(I'm talking about the Mally powder and BTW,I also love it).
