NO-NO HAIR REMOVAL SYSTEM

Started 1275319660.03 in Beauty Banter | Last reply 1275673733.437 by HersheyGirl

Have wanted to try this for my facial hairs.

When they first came out not attachment for face.

I see now that they have added it

Really don't need it for any other body parts.

I am fair,and don't have much on my legs,arms etc.

It is costly,and wondering if i should try it or not.

Have been using buffer type applicators for my hair removal.

My hair is light,so i was told laser would not work on me.

Did read some mixed reviews,and really am confused.

Does anyone here have it and can comment?

Thanks,lovestodance{#emotions_dlg.confused1}

I recently bought the nono from Sephora. You have to be careful with it but i love it

All I can say is ....JUST SAY NO! to the nono....I tried it...hated it....there was an awful smell and it takes a long time to have the hairs totally gone. I returned it...figured it was not worth it...

Thanks soxfan, Do you use it on your face? As i did mention of want it mainly for my chin,and sides of face area.

My hairs are light,so laser is out. I do use a buffer type applicator now.

Thought maybe the no-no maybe a good thing for me to have!!!

Just to add it is costly. To just use it primarily for my facial area, may not be too practical.

Thanks for your reply.

Tobydog,so you are not happy with the no-no???? I would be a little afraid to use it on my face!!.{#emotions_dlg.confused1}

So maybe it is not a good idea for me???{#emotions_dlg.glare}

lovestodance, I have one that you can have...I bought it a few years ago and only used it a handful of times. I bought the TRIA and like it a lot. If you have to have a specific NO! NO! in order to use the attachment this probably won't help. However, if you can purchase the attachment alone, maybe you'd like to have it. email is bocababy2008@hotmail.com.

Does anyone have opinions on whether the TRIA does work better....especially for facial hair (blond, visible hairs above lip and on chin) after watching the No No presentation this morn on HSN was very tempted, but also know that the TRIA is out there and just wondering how ell that works on "facial" hair???

I absolutely hated the NO NO! It has actual razor blades which mean (1) that you are dry shaving (big ouch for me!) and (2) that you have to replace them often. I would think that a laser system like the TRIA would be much more effective. I tried to write a review for HSN on the NO NO, but I had already printed a return form and it wouldn't let me write one for a returned product.

Hi kurbngrl,

The TRIA does not work on blonde or red hair. Sorry.

I do use NONO on my face. There is a learning curve and you do have to be careful with it. But it does work. I did hear replacement razors are in short supply so I stocked up on the NoNo site. Good luck.

I bought the NO NO and I really like it. The key is to be patient. I have very dark, and thick hair that needs to be shaved everyday. You need to be patient with this. I use it 2 times a week when I first got it and expected to still have to shave. yes, it does smell and no it doesn't take all the ahir off right away, however with constant use, I only have to shave 2 times per week and it is very sparse. I have just started to venture onto my face with it..so we will see.

I was looking at one for my GD and thought it worked by heat, (hence the smell) which destroys the root over time. Why the need for a blade? Guess I haven't watched enough of their presentations.

I just remember it burning the hair...hence the smell. I don't remember the blades or the dry shaving part. Someone posted a while ago that they used it regularly for over a year and it did stop the growth. I have neither the time or patience to do this for that long of a time frame! Facial hair...may be different...but...I really didn't like the product and it seemed way to expensive.
