I want shiny hair! Wen's not cutting it:)

I've been using Wen for a while, and I like that I can go longer between cleansing my hair and it seems to hold the moisture in.  It doesn't get dry and keeps my ends healthy.  Having said that, it just doesn't shine.  Whenver I'm out shopping or whatever and I see myself in a mirror (like today I was trying on clothes), my hair just looks totally average.  Considering how much I'm spending on Wen and all the effort in the shower (hundred pumps, massaging and forever rinsing), it seems like the results should be better.  What do you think of Carol's daughter?  Or I might even go back to Philosophy's Shear Splendor, I used that several years ago and liked it.  Any suggestions for shiny hair?

WEN is not the problem...all you need is an illuminator for shine.  Any hair salon or Beauty First, Sally's any of them carry those products.  Easy fix.

Can anyone recommend a great shine product?

Moroccan Oil is great for shine! Your hair drinks it in and shines like mad. I am talking about the brown bottle with the blue label--its fantastic!

just use wen to wash your hair

condition it with a silk & shine hair conditioner

and use a chi keratin product or biolage product for shine

too much wen is just too much wen

eta Carol's daughter big mistake go another route

Oh gesh, this is a no brainer for me, I tried Wen, Hair one, Oh gosh I could name at least 20 others and I started using all my Philosophy 3in1's as my shampoo and then the Amazing Grace Conditioner then I add the Living Proof Thickening Cream after I towel dry my hair. I am so serious, my hair has NEVER been so healthy or shiny, I was looking for a LONG TIME and on a whim I decided to try my 3in1, I honestly thought it would dry my hair out, I am SO GLAD I tried it!! Now I get multi use from my 3in1's and that saves me money and makes me happy too!!

I use to LOVE the Shear Splender cond (the one in the jar) and was so sad when they did away with it!

My hair doesn't shine with wen either, but it is less frizzy for sure.I don't like shear splendor at all...it dried my hair, but love the pure grace 3 in 1.

Fredric Fekkai makes a great glossing cream.  I happend to use a sample of his glossing shampoo and conditioner this weekend and wow!  I have dark hair that is naturally curlly which is hard to get a shine and my hair was very shiny.

I ordered both the shampoo and conditioner from Sephora today and trust me, they are not cheap, but I think totally worth it.

I read about Fredric Fekkai all the time ladyroxanne. I heard his glossing and volumizing creams are excellent. I am a first time Wen user but do miss my normal shampoos so much cause Wen takes so much more time, why is that? I heard Oscar Blandi excellent too.

My hair resonds very favorably to Philosophy 3-in-1 as well!  The only thing I found is that it strips color.  :(

Better than the Fekkai (for me, normal, but heavy hair) is Jonathan's leave-in gloss cream.  A drop of that and a drop of oil (Jojoba really gives shine, or Argan, or WEN) and my hair is shiny, no frizz.

I agree with Moroccan Oil.  I just purchased some from a local salon and I loooove it!

Great tips! As soon as I finish using the Wen I have left, I'll try Philosophy's Amazing Grace/Conditioner.  I read the description and was delighted to discover that it's free of sulfates!  I'll also try the Moroccon oil for a leave in.  I wish I could just return the Wen, but I'm afraid I might get the "letter"!  I've returned several things this year, just seems like I wasn't happy the past few beauty purchases.  Guess I'll use this one up!

I like Pantene's Ice Shine shampoo and conditioner.  I really makes my hair shine.  And Harris Teeter grocery store had the large size on special this week for $4.79 (regular price is $7.79).
