Vendors who switch shopping channels...

I am curious about this and I know someone on this forum may have the answer to this question. I noticed that Trish McEvoy is now with HSN. There are also other vendors that started out with QVC and are now selling at HSN. What usually are the circumstances that cause this to happen? Is it low sales, contracts expiring, etc. I just find it interesting that some vendors do not have long existing relationships with one shopping network. Anyone in the know??
