Any tricks for using teeth whitening gel without a tray?

I bought some of the Plus White 5 Minute Speed Whitening Gel the other day at Walmart. I tried using the tray, but it definitely didn't fit my mouth correctly, and the gel oozed to the back of my teeth instead of staying on the front. A couple of times I tried just brushing the gel on my teeth, but it is nearly impossible to keep your lips from getting on your teeth! I tried keeping a huge smile on my face, but that only last for a couple of minutes.

Does anyone have any suggestions for keep the gel off your lips and gums? Thanks!

Go to Walmart's sporting goods section and buy two $.99 mouth guards that are used for sports. Follow the package directions (boiling water) to mold them to your teeth (one for the bottom and one for the top) and viola, you have mouth guards that fit to your mouth perfectly, and they are cheap. You can keep them in the shower and use the 5 minute gel while in the shower. Easy solution and works great!

Thanks, tamtam066! I just went to Walmart's website, and I don't see any $.99 mouth guards. I wonder if they have been discontinued. I will look for them text time I am at Walmart.

Your welcome. Anyplace they sell mouth guards for athletes will work, but, make sure they are the cheaper alternative that you boil to fit the mouth. The harder molds don't seem to work as well. Good luck!

Mix it on your toothbrush with your regular toothpaste and use it like that while brushing. this is how to use the Arm and Hammer Booster Gel, so try it with the Plus White.
