I thought IT brow pencil was nice but YBF blows IT out of the water!

YBF eye brow pencils are very reasonally priced and IMO are way better than IT pencils. I have oily skin and YBF pencils stay on until I take it off and they are cheaper as well. I am SUPER impressed with this product. Thanks to all that suggest these, they are awesome!

I love this pencil but I wish it were a bit more long lasting. It is almost perfect, imo.

Motor City Chick...

I totally agree. I tried the IT Cosmetics brow pencil and it goes on so thick for me. It made my brows look horrible. Plus, it has a lot of red in it and I'm a medium brunette.

YBF's pencils are a great price and go on very smoothly, no fuss. My only negative about YBF's brand is that it goes on darker as a universal shade. I find if I go over my brows more than once, they tend to look too dark.

I use Sephora's Retractable Eyebrow pencil in Midnight Brown first (love the way it draws and how it isn't thick and it's only $12) and then go over it once more with YBF.

I have to say the BE brow pencils are nice too but awfully expensive for the amount you get.

What fries my green tomatoes is that its never in stock, always sold out! I gave up trying to get it. When I find something I love, I hate going and seeing sold out all of the time. Thats why I stopped buying 100% Pure too. Okay, rant over!!{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

I loved the old YBF (Models Prefer) pencils. They were my all time favorite. When I tried the YBF, I just didn't like them and returned the pencils. I bought the IT pencils and love them! Give my darker eyebrows a filled-in look without the darker color.

I have used both and think they are both really good brow pencils, but when I need to buy one again, the edge goes to YBF - hope they're in stock! I have been using this since it was Models Prefer.

They carry YBF at Ulta now and there is a 20% off code for total purchase. It only excludes Dermalogica(my fav eye makeup remover),fragrace,Lancome and clearance.

I don't know how anyone uses pencils anymore. For at least 15 yrs (before they ever came on the market) I have been using brown eyeshadow with a thin stiff brush. I have the Chanel eyeshadow quad in brown and it is the perfect color for both shadow and brows. Stays put all day and looks so natural and fills in perfectly.

I do not care for the YBF eyebrow pencil though I know it's a fan fav. It's rock hard and difficult to look natural. I trashed mine.

I use Tarte or SB. I don't like pencil liners either for the brow.

LOL!! I guess I lucked out, needed to purchase some and went to HSN and it was in stock...the auto ship was out of stock but one time shipment was in stock. I will have to watch for this because this is a product I will definately order again!

ITA and it's cheaper! Everything the Q sells is expensive especially when you tack on S/H charges!

Love the IT pencil that came as a bonus with the concealer TSV whenever that was. Perfect color for me and easy to use. I'm using up my Smashbox brow on days it just doesn't matter, but will definitely buy IT. Best of anything I've tried on my dark brows to date.

I am the opposite, I got the IT pencil to try when it was in the TSV, and it works much better for my brows than the YBF.

I still have some of the YBF pencils, when I re-order I will be going with the "IT" brand.

I agree! Love YBF and I am so glad that Ulta is carrying them now. I will have no less than two on hand.

It- what I hated most about this pencil is the inconsistency of color. I'd have one reddish and one really darker brow.

Both liners - product popped out but YBF is so good, I can overlook it and just pop it back in. Usually, when products break or malfunction I do not repurchase, but I can't be without YBF.

:)

I've used the YBF for years but thought I'd try the IT. No contest. YBF beats it hands down. Did not like the IT at all. Don't see what all the hype is about it.

I don't buy my YBF eyebrow pencils at HSN anymore. I got tired of them being out of stock, so I went to YBF's website. They are a couple bucks cheaper there than HSN and less shipping/handling and I paid no tax. The package arrived in 3 days to boot!

I haven't tried the YBF, but when Stacy had Models Prefer and closed the website I bought a lot of stock in the pencils. Wish I'd bought more of the yellow powder because the new one isn't as good.

I have never tried the IT brow pencils. I had ask a question here once, and a few posters recommended the YBF. When I purchased mine, they were not available to buy as a one time purchase, only as auto delivery. I am so happy, that I lucked into that situation. I receive two at a time. They are reasonably priced. I can push or pull in the deliveries. The best part of course. I love these pencils.

I'll tell you why.....after a certain age using shadow to fill in your eyebrows will make you look older.

Finding a great pencil that is very fine and will draw the look of hairs is way more youthful looking. The shadow is easier but I'm over 40 and I stay away from make-up that ages me.

I'm an aesthetician and have worked as a makeup artist for years and I totally disagree. The pencil looks much more harsh. Powder looks great on older women too. My 73 yr old mother has been doing it for several years now after I showed her how to and she likes it so much better.

I prefer the IT pencil because the YFB breaks easily. Now I am using the Tarte brow gel with the excellent Smashbox brow brush.I have the new Mally set but haven't tried it yet.The Mally brow brush is too soft and thin.I had to return the Paula Dorf kit with stencils from HSN.It was impossible to put the powder and hold the stencils down at the same time.Same thing happened with the Anastasia stencil kit.I am still looking for the perfect brow product.I tried the Dalton one and it was great, but dried out after a couple of uses, even with the double lid.I might try it again, because the reviews are positive and maybe Doris improved the formula.I use a tiny bit of Geller eye primer (the original one) on my brow first and at the end I apply the YBF yellow powder.Stacy talked about doing that when she was on Qvc ages ago and it really works.

I will add to your reply. I too thought that pencils would be harsh and always used a powder/cream product. I used Vincent Longo's for a very long time but always had a little difficulty with the brush getting the shapes right. I reluctantly tried YBF and have not turned back. If done correctly, the brows never look drawn on and very natural.

Not everyone uses a brow powder for a "fill in" since many have very little brow to begin with and the trick is to get them to look as natural as possible and I find using a good pencil the best.

:)

I tried an IT pencil when I ran out of YBF. It was ok but there is no comparison. I got right on HSN and ordered a couple of the YBF pencils. I've been using them since she started on QVC.

I have used nearly every brow product on the market...pencils (including those being talked about), mousses, mascara, gel, wax...you name it and after discovering $5 maybelline brow powder at the drugstore I am kicking myself for not finding it sooner. I never liked powder before at all, I actually hated it but this stuff is just IT for me. I even like the cheapie brush it comes with, it's really firm and fills in my brows perfectly. I never look like I'm wearing anything. It's the best brow product I've ever tried. i think there are only two colors, I use the lighter one. It's foolproof. This is the powder I'm talking about, these are reviews for it.
