I found MegaRed too expensive because I take 2,000 mg of krill oil daily. I believe the MegaRed capsules were only 300 mg. But, there were no fishy taste or burps.

I use and find it works for me. I ran out of my regular fish oil, and I started using Mega Red. No fishy taste at all! No burps.

O would like to try it, but I am afraid of a fishy aftertaste--my stomach is SOOOOO sensitive.

It's not the typing, it's arthritis.

Does the Vitamin Guru at HSN make or sell this? I take his vitamins because he puts them in capsule and I think his work better. I will go over and look. What do I look for? None of his has a fish taste.

My husband and I both take Mega Red. No fishy taste and no burps. My stomach is also sensitive. My hb purchased it for himself after he researched it and then I was having so much pain in my joints from arthritis (hopefully not hips going out), so I thought what the heck, I'm going to try MegaRed. OMG, I got relief in just a matter of days. I'm sold !!

If you always tell the truth you will never have to try and remember what you said before .....

I just received a new issue of Consumer Reports health and there's an article about krill oil.

They mention only one brand (by Neptune), but overall while they say krill oil may reduce more pain than other fish oil supplments, but they're not ready to say we all should be jumping to take them. More clinical research is needed. Most people can get enouh DHA and EPA by eating fatty, low-mercury fish - such as Alaskan salmon and sardines - at least twice a week. If you take a supplement, consult a doctor because krill oil and fish oil may intereact with some drugs, including blood thinners."

I certainly don't eat enough fish. I hope researchers work hard to sort all this out soon. A pill would be good.

I eat absolutely NO FISH at all--just the thought makes me nauseous so I've always missed out on the benefits of doing so. I'm hoping this works for me.

I recently switched over to 'Doctor's Best' brand of Krill Oil -- you can't beat the low price, super fresh expiration date and the i.u. standard is the same as the regular MegaRed (which I'd started out with). I've also used the Walgreens brand, which is okay as well.

I switched over to Krill Oil a couple of years ago because Fish Oil capsules were difficult to down (and the burping issue as well as a 'sour stomach' at times from them). No problems swallowing the small Krill Oil capsules and it digests easily.

If you are very timid about fish oil capsules, you can freeze them and take them frozen. That guarantees you will not experience fishy burps. You don't lose any of the nutrients by doing this, I have read.

I take Omega Red and like it better than Nordic Naturals Omega 3. I have no repeating with Omega Red. The best price I've found (if you're a member) for Omega Red is at Sam's Club.

Do you mean krill oil? If so, just Google: Omega Red Krill Oil.

Omega Red can be purchased at Walgreens and Wal-Mart, the absolute best price though is Sam's Club.

i will have to check with my dr. if i can take it, if anyone is on any medication, make sure you check with your dr. first. krill is not a real large fish, it is caught by the fishermen to use for bait, it is very plentiful where i live, do not know about other areas of the world.

I buy the mega red at Walgreens when they have buy one/get one free, which is quite often.

They also usually have coupons in each package for $2-$3 off.

Never a fishy aftertaste.
