Mr. Rebates

Started 1327753643.92 in Beauty Banter | Last reply 1327942954.93 by Bibione

I know alot of you ladies use Mr. Rebates - so I decided to try it as well. Well, I have been logged into their site and then picked one of the stores listed and I purchased a couple of items. It has been 30 days for one order I had placed and nothing is showing up in my Mr. Rebates - in pending either. Does this site work like that? Thank you.

yes, this has happened to me as well. I'm not sure what to do about it.

When you click on the stores you ordered from does it say 'restrictions' (QVC does)?

If so, have you checked those restrictions to see it they apply to what you ordered?

I use Mr. Rebates at Q and several other sites, but haven't had a problem with my rebates not showing up.

Within a couple of days of ordering, I get an email detailing my rebate.

Their CS is wonderful. There are 2 girls who usually handle most of the CS issues, Abigail or Meeghan, both are great. Send in the completed form under the Help section, one of them will work with you.

This has been my frustration with Mrrebates (although they have gotten better)..many times I've had to contact CS about purchases that were never credited, even though there were no restrictions and I did not use a discount code outside of what was on their site.

Sometimes they still don't give it to me, even though I have proof. Now I always make sure to use the "note" section in the little pop Mrrebates box and note what I bought so that if they dont' give me the credit, it will be recorded so there is no dispute. I've noticed that since I've done this, I haven't had as many issues.

Good luck!!

I've had two instances where my rebates didn't show up, and I simply filled out the form and pasted in my email POP. I received both of my rebates within a couple of days.

Do this! They will take care of it, usually, same day.

One thing I've found (and I have no idea why and it is no matter what computer I use) is that for QVC purchases I don't seem to get credit if I use IE. So whenever I buy something here at QVC I use Chrome or Safari and never have a problem anymore.

But DO make sure that you go in and claim the rebates that didn't appear in the time period between 30 days and 60 days after your order date. You cannot claim it before 30 days out and after 60 days you are outta luck.

I have alot of trouble with getting my rebates. Have spoken to customer service at both hsn & qvc and they tell me I must contact mr. rebates. Mr. Rebates gives you a list of things not to do to avoid not getting your rebate. I am very careful to follow every rule and still have trouble. I just wait the 30 days and copy & paste and finally get my rebate that way.

This is the note that posted on Mr. Rebates site.

  • 30 days must have elapsed from the order date but no more than 60 days past the order date. It is each member's responsiblity to let customer service know about a rebate issue within that timeframe.

I have found I can't use IE or Firefox. The only browser that works for me is Safari. However, if I do forget to use Safari and don't get my rebate notice, I then do what everyone else does and wait 30 days to email them. They have super customer service and usually respond the very same day. I just wish Amazon would sign up with them and also that eBay would sign back on.

I use Chrome but the issues are not browser based (at least for mine)..they are mrrebates issue.

Oh I do like how mrrebates has Too Faced Cosmetics (ebates doesn't)! I wish ebates had Too Faced.

I use Explorer with Mr.R and it works fine. I'm on a Mac, if that makes any difference, I don't know. I keep track of all my purchases by saving my order confirmations in a folder in my email account. I flag them as I get them, then remove the flags as the rebate confirmations arrive. If 30 days pass and no rebate confirmation has come (I just keep going to the folder to check the dates on the flagged order confirmations), then I fill out a Mr.R inquiry and usually they post the rebate to my account that same day or the next. It takes some organization but it's no big deal to me. It's become habit now. A small price to pay for all the rebate $ I have gotten over the years.

I have to use explorer, chrome just swallows it up. I have lost lots by not knowing this. And I used to fill the cart and then check in with Mrrebates. A no no. Gotta go there first and then fill cart or whatever. I have had a hit and miss situation with them. I tried to get back funds with no luck.

I have found Mr. Rebates a bit "hit or miss" like that. I vastly prefer ebates.com and use that almost exclusively now.

Hope you get your issue resolved!

Been using Mr. Rebates for two or so years with no problems. Will get another check next month--$63.+. It does take 90 days for you to be able to get a check--amount will be pending until then. I have a question: it says auto-delivery items are excluded. Is even the first shipment excluded? I realize subsequent shipments would not qualify for a rebate. Want to order Dr. D's and it is almost $100. so would like to know. If not, I'll go through E-bates or Upromise. (Upromise is for saving for education.)

I think the first order counts, not subsequent shipments.

Thanks. I kind of figured that too. Also, for those that are new I usually get a confirmation e-mail from them a few days after an order has shipped and it says how much the rebate is. Sure glad I found out about this site since even a few cents on each order adds up. After 90 days they remind you to ask for a check.

You go through the site before placing an order. You will see the % rebate. You can get a check after 90 days or let the amount build up more. They will send you a reminder and let you know your balance. Sometimes going through the site will also give free shipping or some other discount too. Many sites offer 10 or 12% rebate at times. I think you have to wait the 90 days so people are not getting rebates on items they return. Has worked very well for me. I also use Ebates if the % is more. I like Mr. R the best though.

My one A/D order did not qualify for rebates through mrrebates (even orders that also contain non-AD orders).
