Why do YOU shop on QVC?

Hi ladies! It's so wonderful to see such a friendly group of people!! :-)

After years and years of thinking home shopping was really weird and that these networks only sold awful stuff, I actually watched it and got HOOKED!!!

They sell such AMAZING stuff now! Amazing beauty brands that I thought I could only get at places like Sephora, which is really far away, AND Spanx!!!

I still feel guilty for some reason though, like it's weird... Do you feel the same way??

laura geller, temp-tations, and clarks...Can't get them elsewhere. Other stuff I tried, but they all turned out failed.

No, I don't feel guilty. I live 100 miles from a major mall, My only local shopping is Walmart and Walgreen's. Even when I lived in a good sized city, I still shopped here. I just find it convenient to turn on the TV or computer, I can buy or not buy as the mood strikes me. Going to a mall and returning with nothing is a big waste of time and gas.

I'm lazy, hate shopping in mall stores.

QVC was my first TV/WEB retailer, but I've branched out and buy from many. Not having to get in my car, drive to the mall, find what I want, then try to find someone to pay makes e shopping a no brainer.

I happen to like Susan Graver liquid knit, and Rachel Zoe.

I started during the back end of my pregnancy when I couldn't get out much. Now I watch it because I love it and it my daughter is little --- so it is still hard to get out alot. Also, there are some vendors that I don't seem to have access to other than QVC.

The last reason is that the shows and the message boards make shopping such a grander event. I have people to shop with, consult on purchases, enable, etc.{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Feel quilty & weird??? No, it doesn't bother me, I like shopping with the QVC, and it is too easy to shop with them, unfortunately!

I shop the Q for items I can't find in my local area or because it's on easy pay and that fits my budget. I can make payments and no interest. Win, win for me.

Welcome to the Boards!

I shop QVC when I feel that there is a deal that I can't find anywhere else. For example, I love the deals they give us on beauty/makeup sets. I will buy Philosophy and Mally products from here.

However, I have learned that most of what they sell can be purchased elsewhere for a cheaper price or FREE shipping and handling. You have to be careful about your purchases on here...

I started watching and buying lots of jewelry, shoes (Clarks, Ryka, Birkies) and clothes from QVC - starting in 1995. In the last 3 years, the prices have gone sky high and the quality way down. I used to enjoy listening to the various hosts explain the products, interspersed with stories and humor. Now - you get fast-talking hosts, using high-pressure tactics -- everything is Amazing, Great Buy - like you would find in higher-end stores, they own it in 3 colors, etc. So phony!!!! Has there ever been a product they didn't like or own????? Too much junk!!!! It also gets expensive having to return products when you have to pay the shipping both ways. QVC - Sorry, but I'm being honest with my review.

TVS TVS and TVS with some odds and ends thrown in but mainly the TVS.

I can get almost everything else in stores or on other sites, especially beauty products.

I shop mainly for beauty. Like I can get a TSV with around 4-8 items to try out a company's [full size] products, for a very reasonable price, in the privacy of my home.

My hubby thinks its nuts. One lady asked me about my Rachel Zoe vest and when I said QVC she was like "whats that?" I was so embarrassed!

The exclusive kits are my main draw in the beauty category. Sometimes the deals are good so that draws me as well.

I shop for Laura Geller, Smashbox (when they have them on). I like to watch the makeup shows to learn new techniques, see the new colors, etc. That's about all I buy from them.

I live about 55 miles away from the mall with the GOOD makeup counters. So, I like to watch for those presentations for sure. I've learned A LOT by watching the makeup shows. I also like to watch the jewelry shows and some of the others. It's fun. :)

I shop for beauty. I've only ever bought 4 things, and they were things that I couldn't get anywhere else.

I understand what you mean about feeling weird about watching/buying from qvc, because everyone makes fun of me for it! They do think it's a strange thing. I just say "I love shopping, so why wouldn't I wanna shop at home?" I'm 26 and I've been watching since I was like 19, so I think not too many people in that age bracket (at least my friends) watch it.

I sometimes watch a video to see if I like something but then I shop elsewhere for free shipping and no tax. But the videos are helpful!

I'm 25 and have been shopping here since I was 18. My friends/family also make fun of it because I think many people associate home shopping with old shut-ins who are hoarders. Whatever. They buy from amazon, hautelook, bluefly, etc from their homes so what's the difference?

I mainly buy beauty-related items that are in kits. The beauty tsv's are always a temptation! But I've also bought jewelry and stuff for the home (my steam mop and vac) from QVC.

Yay, someone like me, lol. I agree about it being similar to shopping at other online sites, but you get more information from watching QVC.

No guilt here. I love the luxury of having my things delivered to my front door!

Guilty???? Heck, no.....I say it proudly when asked where I got something...Have found that many others shop at the Q., too....

I like the demonstrations of products....also products I might never see shopping at the mall.....I hate wandering around looking for gift ideas when I can watch my T.V. or surf the Q. website and watch the videos...

As other posters have said....going to the mall and coming home empty handed is a waste of time and money...So much easier to turn on the T.V. and computer...in the comfort of my own home....

I buy a variety of things....clothes...jewelry...kitchen stuff...handbags...something from every category.....but beauty products....I don't use those...
