I use the Volumizing line in the pink bottles. They are all safe for color-treated hair and have different formulas based on hair type. Thanks! I will check those out. I really do like WEN and I feel it does keep my hair healthly, but once in a while I want to use Shampoo & conditioner and any I have at home (not sulfate free) really strips my color. I see an immediate lightening of my color. Also, thanks for pointing out the Volumizing line as I have stick straight hair! Amy19001326472065.58589 PostsRegistered 9/18/2011Ohio I am currently using Infusium 23 for color treated hair. I like it a lot so far. Color does not seem to be fading and seem to have less hair falling out than with other shampoos. I used to use Infusium before I started using WEN. I did not realize they have one for color treated hair. I always like Infusium (I think I used the one for Moisture if I remember correctly) roxyrn1326475247.757592 PostsRegistered 7/7/2008 My salon uses "Sinque," or is it "Cinque?" Either way, it works great on my hair and is sulfate-free. I use the L'Oreal Everpure line and my color didn't fade the last two times I went to the colorist, with Wen it did. Sassenach11326475737.3033839 PostsRegistered 12/3/2005 RennPure Organics- found at Wal-Mart or Walgreen's. There are several formulas, all sulfate-free. "My Pretty Hair..." is the name. They are made by the Redken family. Great stuff! Lotus~1326475918.3432961 PostsRegistered 6/23/2006Long Island, NY I found Derm Organic Argan Oil in TJMaxx....and didn't even realize it was sulfate free until I got it home. It suds and I like it. ― Ralph Waldo Emerson Thanks so much for the suggestions! I like the idea of something with suds! even a little! I really like WEN and I am not giving it up, but I still sometimes feel like I need to do a shampoo & condition once in a while. But I really see how it strips my hair so I do it as rarely as possible. EstyWA1326478326.971575 PostsRegistered 11/7/2011 Paul Mitchell wild ginger awapuhi line! The whole line is amazing!!!! For drugstore/health food store I would go with Avalon organics biotin shampoo and conditioner ILuvBen1326478446.09797 PostsRegistered 1/23/2007Chicago, IL Another vote for the L'Oreal Everpure line - started using it when it first came out and have never even wanted to stray. Alternate between the volume and the repair shampoos. I don't need conditioner and trying to use up my Wen as a leave in. I use demi-permanent color at home and this keeps the color from fading and washing out too fast. I hope they never discontinue this. lbj611326478686.65223 PostsRegistered 10/25/2011 I would also recommend the Paul Mitchell wild ginger awapuhi line. Its what I used before I started Wen. I have probably tried at least 50 shampoos through the years, including high end sulfate free shampoos. I have noticed that with all sulfate free shampoo that my hair gets very dry and dull. I have very short hair, so there is not a lot of room for error or covering up the look of dry frizzy hair. Also, I really need volume. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this with the sulfate free products? I do try and find shampoos with the least harsh surfactants in the ingredients, and I feel my hair looks much better than using sulfate free all of the time. Would really like your opinions and what your experiences have been. Sher Icegoddess1326479113.931306 PostsRegistered 3/19/2010 I second the Pureology line. I use the Hydrating in the lavender bottles. I tried the L'Oreal Everpure line, but even though L'Oreal also now owns Pureology, I found the Everpure to be more drying than the Pureology. And it suds really well. I don't need to use very much at all and get lots of suds. dmcdonald1326480170.1573 PostsRegistered 8/28/2006 I have tried L'Oreal Everpure and now use Brocado, but are good and free of sulfates. Thanks so much for all of the responses! I have alot to look for now :) JustPeachy1326485575.6031024 PostsRegistered 5/16/2008 Loreal in the silver tube. If youre looking to hang onto color THIS shampoo will do it! I started using it when my expensive stuff ran out and wont go back. My color doesnt fade AT ALL (dark blonde) and it makes my hair soft and silky. NeetaLyn1326494023.0372572 PostsRegistered 7/27/2008Maryland I have tried many and these two are my favorites. I am also convinced they extend my hair's color and highlights because I can go for longer between each coloring ever since I have been using these for the last 1 1/2 years. They are all sulphate free, but I like the Shea Butter formula best. Ulta sells Organix as well as CVS and it's reasonably priced. Kate Love Joico shampoo and conditioner.
