QVC Returns

Started 1326126779.34 in Beauty Banter | Last reply 1326496340.627 by Mary Bailey

Is it just me or does anyone else feel it takes forever for a return to get processed? I know it's after the holidays and the returns must be higher than normal, but I'm going on three weeks and I haven't received notification yet on a couple of returns I made. Not only are we paying high S&H costs, but having to endure such inefficiency is inexcusible especially for a huge retailer such as QVC. The few returns I had to other large retailers (via mail) were processed within a week.

I've been a QVC customer for many, many years; I hate to admit it, but this company is tanking fast.

Three weeks with no notice does seem like a long time. It didn't take that long for me to receive notice of my recent return. (Don't recall exactly how long it took.) The amount still has not been refunded to my credit card, but that may be the credit card company's fault. {#emotions_dlg.unsure}

I recently sent back a bad Perricone item for exchange. I had notice within days. But I sent it just before Christmas, evidently I beat the rush.

Have you tracked the item using the UPS tracking number? What does it say? Have you contacted CS and asked?

I don't think 3 weeks is long given that it is after the holidays. You want to talk about long waits and no notices, think Sephora. They take forever!

It has been years since I returned anything but I do remember it taking a few weeks. I agree about calling customer service and see what they say.

You can also check status by using the auto features when you call CS.

Also, did you remember to check the box saying you wanted confirmation?

I returned 3 packages on 12/29/2011 at the postoffice. One went to HSN, and I already received to credit. The other two went to QVC, and nothing yet. I used the prepaid return labels too.

I sent something back after Christmas and received notification last Friday.

SHOP NBC notifies you REALLY fast and so does HSN. The Q...not so much.

I know too much to go back an' pretend.

Interestingly, I sent a return using the prepaid label with ShopNBC. I was really surprised about how long it was taking to show up. I called their cs and was told it takes much longer using their labels than shipping yourself. Wow! I wonder if that is the same with Q?

It does seems its taking a long time for a return to be processed lately.

That has been my experience here, BellaCarro. I had two QVC returns last year, and used Priority Mail for both. They were processed within two days of the delivery confirmation showing receipt.

On the other hand, I used the pre-printed label for a return/exchange here in 2010. The whole process took 2-1/2 weeks, so it seems that these packages aren't handled quickly. They must have a rock-bottom bulk rate for these labels, which must be a good profit stream because they charge about $7 to use them. Never again.

I have noticed that pre-printed labels take LONGER to process returns than the labels I hand print and send paying my own postage.

I only use pre-printed return lables on heavy items that would cost a lot send back if I did not use the labels.

It must just depend because I only use Q's pre-printed labels and have no problem with returns/refunds. But then, I don't expect my refund the day after I send my package.

Speaking of returns. What are the dates that are available for holiday returns? I purchased something on the 5th of November and I can't remember if that is in the time frame. Thanks!

My returns rarely take a lot of time, usually 10 days after I send the package out. Sometimes I use the prepaid label other times I take care of it my self. A shirt or small item does not cost 6.95 to send back.

You can return it. I think it was sometime in October it started through December 23 I believe. You need to return it by Jan. 31.

I use my own UPS account, not their return labels, and get confirmation very quickly.

It is less expensive also - I combine returns when necessary, as well, into one box.

I haven't had to return anything for awhile until this past Dec. when what I ordered to give as Christmas gifts were the wrong colors & one item was missing, I was so mad so I called CS to tell them & I sent it right back with the prepaid label & I checked off notify me on the slip.

Over two weeks & still I had no email they had received it so I called CS again to find out what was going on & was told they had recieved it on Dec. 31st, the CS I spoke to said let me refund your card now & apoligized. I got a notification the next day.

Call CS LJV ~ they most likely have what you returned but haven't bothered to do anything about it.

This is exactly what I do only I use FedEx. I can see the date, time and who signed for it when it has been delivered to the Q. It usually only takes a day or two (I'm in Pa also) for them to receive it but because of the holiday returns it's taking at least a week me to get the credit.

I sent back some Honora earrings on the 23rd of Dec....I received notification middle of last week ...and it was deposited in my account on the 10th of Jan. Given there were two holidays and the rush of returns to the Q....I didn't think it was too bad...

My bigger complaint is why does it take them so long to ship out....my stuff sits "in process" way longer then it should....

Sorry you are having such a long wait....HSN has been, by far, much quicker to get things shipped to me and extremely fast with thier returns....much faster then the Q. has ever been....

I NEVER use the prepaid labels because they cost almost TWICE as much as printing one up yourself and paying the postage! I do delivery confirmation through the PO and have never had a problem or delay with my returns. Also be sure and check that tiny box on the receipt that has them notify you when they receive your return.

Finally, one package made it back to QVC, one more to go.

My return was refunded very quickly.
