I have noticed a lot of hair loss and thinning and ran across this "Stimulair" on the internet. All natural. Take 2 tablets a day and wash your hair with the shampoo and conditioner. Anyone tried this?

Gee, don't we woman have enough to contend with when we get older without losing our hair. I know this is not just a problem older women have. Younger women have this problem too. Yes, I have been to the Dr. Everything checked out fine. Golden Years!!!!!! BLAH!!!!!! Thanks for any replys. emawma

Have you tried minoxidil? Check out amazon. Lots of minoxidil products there.

emawma, its an interesting formula but a bit on the expensive side. My only formula objection is the inclusion of iron..if you are past menopause iron supplementation is not usually recommended. It can build up in your body.

NeoCell Super Collagen makes hair grow...and good for bones and skin, too. Just $10

I have had this problem since I started thyroid problems and meds for it. Dont know which casued it, but it gets worse when I take the meds long term, and was better when I tried to get off meds. But since I felt so horrible off meds, I decided to live with thinning hair.

I have been using NIoxcin shampoo for a few years. My hairdresser says my loss /thinning has been stable for the last few years. You can buy it at most salons..I get it at JCPenny usually. It is expensive IMO, but works for me. About $30.00 for 32oz.

I agree that adults over 50 should not be taking iron supplements.

Another suggestion is Viviscal, Nioxin's Scalp Treatment, making sure you have enough Biotin, Folic Acid, Vitamin B and Iron. A few peoople here have said you shouldn't take iron but you should have your levels checked. My tests have said twice that I had extreme anemia due to low iron and B12 levels.

Nunu,

Do you use Neocell?

For those interested, it also comes in a tablet form. Available at Sam's Club. 300 tables for $20, I think.

I've been taking Biotin, 5000 mgs. They say that helps.

I take 7500 mcg Biotin daily, my nails are great, my hair is still quite thin.

Reviews on Viviscal are not good .
