Does supersmile really work?

Do you who use it notice a significant difference in the whiteness of your teeth? Is it worth the expense?

It didn't seem to do much for my old and nasty teeth.....sigh.

Hopeless Romantic :)

I used it for a while and did notice a significant whitening of my teeth. (I drink a lot of coffee and cola.) But I decided I want the benefits of regular toothpaste, so I use my regular Colgate, with a dab of Arm & Hammer Whitening Booster (not sure of exact name) every evening. That also gives me good results.

And as I posted elsewhere, I very recently discovered Listerine Advanced Mouthwash, which has all the benefits of regular Listerine plus whitening and breath freshening properties. It has a minty flavor - not like regular Listerine. This mouthwash also has helped whiten my teeth.

EDIT - To the Original Poster: As you can see from the replies so far, this product works for some of us and does not work for others. Only you can decide if it fits into your budget. If you can afford it, you should try it and see for yourself if it works for you. If it does not work for you, that does not mean it is a bad product - it just doesn't work for you. Good Luck!

I bought it as a TSV the last time it was on and I wasn't wowed by it. I saw a hair of a difference but nothing huge and maybe it is just my teeth. The toothpaste makes your teeth feel clean (kind of like when you use baking soda) so that was good.

I felt like it was a bother to have to open two tubes every time. I do love the pre-rinse though. Not sure the pastes work any better than the high end drugstore ones. Saw a cool commerical for a new one for colgate (I think) that claims to have the same potency as the trays.

Save your money. It was totally worthless, tasted terrible and did not whiten my teeth at all.

Not for me. Plus it irritated the heck out of my gums.

The TS is not a good deal. I bought it before and got 2- 8oz tubes for the same price. The ones in the TS are 3.8. I think it works but probably not better than other things out there.

Tried it, didn't do anything for me. Crest White Strips work better.

Great product! Yes, I and my dentist and hygenist all notice the difference.

I started getting sores on my gums after about 2 weeks of use and sent it back.

I purchased once and did not reorder. My teeth have some superficial staining from a lot of tea, berries, and the paste only mildly brightened my teeth. With all the new whitening pastes in the drugstores now, I'm SURE they would do as good a job for much less money. Any one of the whitening strips will do a better job than any of the pastes.

It did nothing for me but irritated my gums.

I have the ones that you turn and brush on.. which are those? I can go check. They came two in an order. I've been using it diligently for at least six weeks and I don't notice a thing. I'm 52, so there was yellowing due to age, but I never smoked and I'm not a heavy coffee drinker. Maybe it would be more noticeable if my teeth were more stained, but I'd tell you to save your money.

It's called Smileactives.

I have old teeth that I take care of, but old teeth and I found it helped. Mouth felt clean, dentist and hygenist noticed a big difference at my 4 month cleaning. It last a long time using it twice a day.

Didn't work for me, and I gave it a 2+ months trial.

I did like it & it did improve the color of my teeth a bit...they weren't that bad to begin with. It is expensive though & there are much cheaper alternatives readily available at a local store.

Just want to add that I really like the Supersmile toothbrush. I will definitely repurchase that.

It didn't work for me. I switched to brushing with Baking soda and gargling with peroxide. That routine has made my teeth brighter.

I think SuperSmile is a terrific product and I use it daily. It works differently that just bleaching teeth alone.

The white paste in the SuperSmile is absorbed by your teeth every time you brush. This counteracts the staining effects of drinking coffee and tea and eating dark colored fruits. The white paste also brings up your natural tooth color to a much whiter and brighter color.

The difference between Supersmile and peroxide bleach strips is that the bleach brings your teeth up to your own natural color and one must bleach them constantly if drinking coffee and tea and consistently staining the teeth.

On the other hand, SuperSmile white paste is absorbed by your teeth everyday and if it is used daily your teeth will not retain stain. It is a combo of a white absorbent for the teeth and a mild strength peroxide bleach.

Not for me & the toothbrush was short and abrasive. Get Crest 3-D.

Did nothing for me, disliked the taste and found it to be very watery. Waste of money.

I bought as a TSV a while back then cancelleld my A/D, used up the rest and went back to my regular. I bought a sonicare toothbrush which I love. It also seems to help whiten the teeth. Supersmile did nothing for me and over $50 for toothpaste? I don't think so.

I use and love my soniccare toothbrush. Can you use supersmile with a sonic toothbrush?

If it's to be, it's up to me!

I tried it and all it did was make my teeth more sensitive.

For me, it has. It is the one product that I have used that has caused people to ask me, "How do you get your teeth so white? Have you had them professionally whitened?" I really like the product.
