Botox Users: How often do you get it?

Hello :)

I'm curious how often you get Botox? I am noticing that I'm needing it more often the older that I get. It used to be 2x/yr and now I feel like I need it 3x/yr (in my mid-30's). If you'll share, could you also put your age? I think the frequency might be based on age also.

How often do you get your Botox & what is your age?

I just want to know if what I'm needing is normal-ha!

TIA! :)

I'm 42, and I usually get Botox 2 times per year. This year I also got some fillers. Smile

I go light on the Botox. I get an eyebrow lift. Very natural and I can move my face, but it brings my eyebrows up to where they used to be, mainly from the arch to the ends. I am 63 and go every 3 or 3.5 months

Botox states it is not guaranteed in those over 65 years old. Works less as you get older supposedly. But I know women in their 70's and one who is 84 that get it, and it works!

Pinkbunny, I suspect that it is not that the Botox is not working, but where they inject needs to change. The muscles change and loosen as we age, that's why there have been a couple times Botox did not work as well, I had to go get a retouch.

There is also one spot by my eyebrows if Botox is injected in that spot, my eyebrows fall at the end and I look like charles Bronson. LOL!! It is unusual, but the person who does my work knows this, and is an artist when it comes to Botox and gels. She has my chart marked with the spots she injects every time. Plus before and after photos everytime. She works for Botox teaching injecting the drug to Dr's once a month.

I am just thinking...geeez what an idiot I am sometimes. I am paranoid about having surgery on my bad foot. I have been putting it off for 1.5 years, but here I am in the PS office getting needles in my face like a dart board. Hahahahahha Ain't life grand?

I just started getting Botox this past Spring, and once she got the correct dosage and placement (which took three tries), my derm had me come back after three months.

I'm 54 and I, too, love the results - lifted eyebrows, more relaxed forehead, ll's fading.

It looks natural; only I can tell the difference.

Hopefully it will take more and more time in between visits; but if not, I feel like I'm really saving $$ anyway. I used to spend a small fortune on creams, etc. Now I just wash my face with castor oil, tone with witch hazel.

I use Vitamin A&D baby rash formula for daytime (no, I'm not kidding) and whatever I have on hand for nighttime.

Also have PMD which I use once every two weeks or so.

Where do they inject the Botox to get the eyebrow lift?

Thanks for all the replies!

If I'm doing it 3x/yr now I hope when I'm 60+ I won't need it every month-lol :)

Thanks again! :)

for my eyebrow lift she makes 4 small injections on each side. One around the 11's, another at the eyebrow arch, one on side forehead and a spot in between arch and end of brow. Hard to describe. It would be different for everyone.

Botox 2 times a year and juvederm every 2 years around lips-I am 49 and lucky to have my mom's genes who is 81 and looks wonderful. I don't have any major issues, but love the refreshed look I get.

Wish it, dream it. dare it, do it!
