Help: Body lotion fades freckling/age spots

Started 1312555313.96 in Beauty Banter | Last reply 1312926614.463 by innerbeauty

Hi ladies,

I am searching for a body lotion or serum that fades age spots. I have developed them on my arms and legs this year despite wearing a high spf. I did a lot of sunbathing in my younger days and the damage is showing. I did always wear sunscreen on my face and have no issues with age spots, melasma there yet. I know about hydroquinone and am ok with it however need a rec for a large bottle with other good skin care ingredients.

Thanks!!

I've started using Clinique's Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector. It's pricey---I just ese it on my nands. It's not perfect---you have to use it twice per day---but the spots are lighter.

I have been using Nadinola fade cream on age spots on my hands. Its working but slowly.

I try to apply every night but sometimes I forget, lol. They are fading and I've been using about 3 months on and off. The only minus is the smell, it reminds me of Nair, hair remover.

I found Nadinola at Walmart and I think I've seen it on Drugstore.com.Its not exspensive and the jar I got is 2.25oz.

Its a cream with 3% hydroquinone, emollents and a sunscreen.

I suggest checking Drugstore.com and read about it to see if you think it would be right for you.

Good luck, HTH

Clinique also makes Turnaround Cream for the body. Wonder if that would work if sunspots.

Here is one

It is by Paula's Choice

RESIST Remarkable Skin Lightening Lotion with 7% AHA, it also contains 2% hydroquinone.

It fades brown/age spots , corrects uneven skintone, enhances the cell turnover rate and builds collagen. It is suitable for all skin color too.

As most of her products this one is fragrance free and contains no dyes or coloring agents.

The combo of the 7% Alpha Hydroxy Acid and the hydroquinone are great for lightening age spots and other skin discolorations. Adding the AHA's to it instead of just the hydroquinone make it much more effective than just the hydroquinone itself.

Good luck, and BTW she has a great return policy.

I use this and have since it came out. While it does NOT completely fade the spots I have it has definitely improved and lessened their prominence. You have to be patient and consistent and it took nearly 2 to 3 months for me to really see the diff but I have. I still have the spots but they blend into my skin much better now. I only have two icky spots on my face and they really bug me a lot but not as much now. I'd love to get them laser zapped but this will do for now.

Sandgirl,

I actually have the M2 Body Refinish. I bought it 2 years ago and used it for really dry elbows and it worked well. I forgot I had it so will try it for arms/hands. Can't find an expiration date on it and hopefully ingredients still active.

Thanks!!
