It seems all my concealers settle into my fine lines near my eyes. Does anyone recommend any inexpensive concealer that does not settle into fine line? please help. thanks in advance.

Honestly, I've never found a concealer that won't do this. The best I've come up with is a liquid or whipped version that you apply VERY lightly. The more you apply, the more it will go into the lines.

Yeah, FINALLY!!!!! Run Trey, run!

I like IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye applied with a light hand. If you put too much on, it will settle into lines, but if you go easy with it, I find it stays smooth. You don't really need much to get good coverage. Unfortunately, though, it's not inexpensive.

Another one I like is Cover Girl Fresh Complexion -- also very good for not settling into lines, but doesn't provide as much coverage as Bye Bye Undereye. But you can't beat the price.

Have you tried any concealers with setting powder? Yes, I know - powder under the eyes - sounds like it would be even more likely to settle into lines, but it works for me. My current favorite is Mally's 24/7 Professional Concealer. I also like her 3-piece Cancellation Concealer system. Another possibility, as suggested by Lisa Robertson, is using Bare Escentuals Bisque to set a cream concealer. Lisa says she has done this with Doris Dalton cream concealer, and I've tried that with some success.

You probably will get many different suggestions. Unfortunately, there is no one Holy Grail concealer (or any other beauty or skin care product, for that matter) which will work for all of us. You have to find your own best concealer by more trial and error. That's what makes being a product junkie so much fun! {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

I have also found using a powder to set the concealer has helped with the settling into fine lines. I've been doing this for the past couple weeks and it has made a difference.

I've been using Bobbi Brown's Creamy Concealer with Sheer Finished Pressed Powder. It comes with a brush for application of the concealer and a brush for the finishing powder. It is the best concealer I've ever used. No fine lines; no creasing; no settling; the consistency is fabulous...I gave it five stars in my review. Hope you find something you like!

Tarte Calming Concealer! It not only does not settle into the lines around my eyes, but it calms and soothes. I have no ides how but I love this concealer!

Some of you were also talking about applying powder...I use tarte's Finshing Powder in clear. I know it sounds like I am a tarte junkie, but I ordered the concealer and this finishing powder w/brush at the advice of a friend. I live in Texas at its hot and humid here, I need something it will not only not settle in the lines, but that will not melt off my face. {#emotions_dlg.w00t}

I cannot say enough positive thing about both these products. I wear them everyday, they last all day. I never have to retouch my makeup! Awesome products...

Setting powder is the answer. I finally learned this is the secret.

Not any setting powder - one fine milled formulated specifically for under eye. Bobbi Brown has one, it is the best, I LOVE it.

I also use Mally's and love it, as do my 56 year old eyes!

My best look comes from using renova/morning eye cream/dermablend and NO POWDER. Have not had luck with any powder under the eyes. "Keep it creamy" is my mantra for now. HTH

I love Tarte's Dark Circle Defense and their new calming clay concealer. Then I use their amazonian clay balancing powder with a fluffy eye shadow crease brush, tap off the excess and dot under each eye. My fine lines used to be very noticeable before (I was using Bobbi Brown's concealer and powder combo), but now they are barely visible. I think it's also the Maracuja oil, and Kiehl's creamy eye cream w/avocado that's helping too.

I just tried Dermablend Creme Cover this weekend at Ulta and was amazed how well is covered my dark circles. Didn't buy it yet but loved the look!

Someone made the point that you should wear a makeup primer under your eyes and this will help at least somewhat. I have tried this and agree, it works! I use laura geller champagne spackle all over my face and under my eyes, and then I use the philosophy color corrector when I have undereye shadows.

I'm sorry, this is not that helpful, but I have resigned to the fact that there is not a concealer out there that won't settle into lines under the eyes. I've tried, and end up looking way worse than if I just left the darkness under the eyes alone with no concealer. I've tried no powder over, more cream under, etc, etc...maybe it's just me...

Good luck! Hope you find one that works for you!

ITA with caramels23. Bobbi brown's new formulation of concealer is great! I like that it's drier than the original. After applying the concealer, I lightly press it with my ring finger like BB does and it blends right in. Then I set with the powder and it's perfect! Also using Bobbi's Hydrating Eye Cream helps with the application of the concealer. It is my understanding that it is like a primer. If you use the whole system together, you might be pleasantly surprised! JulieLast edited on 4/22/2011

I just started using Avon's Healthy Make up concealer and I love it! It's very moisturizing and doesn't settle into my fine lines! HTH!

Okay I've only been using this for two days but I was at Sephora the other day and my favorite consultant there gave me a sample of MakeUp Forever's HD concealer...I may have FINALLY found the one that works!

You need so little and it feels like your skin, not like you just put a thick layering of makeup around your eyes! I'm so impressed with it that I think I'll go out this weekend and purchase it.

Go to Sephora dot com and check out Lancome Effacernes concealer. It has 400 something reviews and has almost a 5 star rating. It has become my holy grail. My suggestion is to put it on last, after your eye makeup and use a creamy moisturizer first. Then use a light hand in application and very gently tap a setting powder over top with a small brush. This stuff does not settle into my fine lines the way other concealers do on me. It's definitely worth the 29.50 for me.
