My nails have finally grown out after I stopped wearing nail polish the chemicals in it were drying out my nails and they were constantly breaking. Since I stopped wearing polish I now have long beautiful nails but I really miss wearing polish it looks so pretty on instead of plain nails. I was thinking is there any such thing as a nail polish without harmful chemcials that won't be drying to your nails? TIA

I was recently in CVS and noticed that Nailtiques now has a nail polish and the colors were nice.

My daughter swears by Zoya nail polish and it appears to not use the chemicals that many others do. You can check them out at their website zoya . com

I took off my acrylics a few months back and when my nails are back in shape this is what I plan to use. My daughter will use a base color then a a splash of the sparkle on top - the colors are gorgeous.

Zoya, SpaRitual, even OPI took the harmful chemicals out several years ago....probably others too but I know these are considered free of harmful chemicals.

There's a brand called Butter nail polish out of England that has gotten good press. I got mine on Zappos but have seen it offered on Amazon. Some beautiful shades and the company claims to have removed the toxic stuff.

The dermatologist (and even a nail tech) have told me no polish is actually good for your nails because they don't allow them to "breath" and this is one of the primary causes of some of the fungus and other infections, especially in toes. But, if using polish there are some that are better than others since they have less chemicals.
