Latisse, revitalash, or rapidlash???

Started 1295484521.007 in Beauty Banter | Last reply 1295830333.027 by maestra
I was planning to purchase latisse but it is around $150 for a 30-day supply and the one person I talked to about this said she used revitalash and had great results... So for a third of the price, I'm tempted. What is yoir experience with any/all of these products? Everyone in my family has long black lashes expect me and my mother - ours are extremely short and brown. Without mascara I look like I don't have eyelashes. When I was young, they were black and my kids lashes are black, so I feel like I've got the genes for good lashes, but just need to give them a boost. Thanks for the input!

Careprost which is the generic of Latisse. It costs $10.00 a bottle and gives the exact same results as the more expensive Latisse. No prescription necessary.

alldaychemist.com

Highly recommended by many on this board including myself.

Hi Melissa

You can get Careprost at All Day Chemist for $11 per bottle, ($25 for shipping, so I get 6 per order to last well over a year)

exact same active ingredient as Latisse

I have used this for over a year and have LONG lashes,

Use it nightly for 4 months then go to Maintanice,

I use it a couple times a week now

alldaychemistdotcom is in India, many of us use it with no issues

HTH :)

Hi Melissa

I like Latisse, but don't have recent experience with the other two. Latisse is having a buy one get one now and you need the rebate form on their home page. Or, a $20 rebate. You can sign up to receive specials too. If you don't use the Allergan brushes, but a thin eyeliner brush the bottle will last much longer. I get 10+ weeks out of one bottle without the waste. Always look for the Latisse specials and never pay more than $72 which is considered "cost".

Well, I'm sold! I knew I brought my question to the right place! For the shipping price, I think I'll go for it and order 3 (??) since it will take a while to see results, correct?

I haven't used Latisse, I've used PTR Lashes to Die For, Revitalash and Lilash. Far and away, Lilash is the best. I can't imagine that Latisse could work any better.

I buy it (sealed) from ebay, around $100, but it lasts for months--much longer than what the manufacturer says. I only use it every other night for maintenance. At this point, I wouldn't want my lashes any longer, it would just look silly.

I'm wondering if anyone has had side effects, such as eye color changing.

Silver Lining - I haven't read of an instance of eye color change with Latisse.

I have used enormous lash (got it on ebay) and I am very happy. My lashes are definitely longer and a bit thicker. I can get away with less eyeliner now.

I Have been using Latisse for a couple of years and it is awesome. There have been no reports of eye color changes when Latisse is used as an eyelash growth product. Be careful. Some of the eyelash products are "enhancers" only.

It's mentioned on the Latisse website. They don't say that it's happened, but they do say something about it, probably for legal reasons.

I use Rapid Lash and have gotten some nice eyelash growth from it, however I have gotten no thickening of lashes with this. Any of you Latisse users notice a thickening or I guess denser amount of lashes??

My opthalmologist gave me a prescription recently, but I've not had it filled yet. My eyes are so extremely sensitive, he wants me to try it for a week or two before proceeding with the prescription, but he's temporarily out of samples. In addition to that and discussing the possibility of eye color changing, he said blue-eyed people don't have a problem - it's those with green eyes who are the most likely to get a color change. That's me - rats!!! He said it's a gradual thing - one day someone who's not seen you in a while says "I didn't realize you had brown eyes" - not good. Thanks for your input, Lyn, Teapot, and Atmore.

I use neulash. I have to close my eyes to get mascara on the tips of my lashes, they are sooooo long. I've been using it for 2 years and couldn't be happier.

I have a fever . . . and the only cure . . . is more COWBELL!

My opthalmologist said it's unlikely a color change will take place, but it is a possibility. Thanks for reassuring me, keli13!!!

I've been using Rapidlash for the past year with spectacular results and no side effects.

my daughter has been using it, about a year. now that i see hers, and no eye color change, i think i will get all day chemist, they are very nice to deal with, and does not take too long to get it.

I have used Rapidlash with SOME success, but decided to try something else. I just started PTR's Lashes to Die For. Will probably order the Careprost when I run out of PTR because of all of the great reviews. Oh, and I've not had side effects with any of them. I have green hazel eyes with gold and brown flecks.

I just ordered it and plan to also purchase the Eye Booster™ 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum by Physicians Formula. I'll use the Rapidlash at night and the eyeliner in the daytime. Hope they work *fingers crossed*

Like Jack Benny, I'm 39 and holding ;)

I am very pleased with OTC Stem Genesis Eyelash Treatment from Isomers, wonderful results and no real meds.

If I am remembering correctly the Derm said it was ONLY Hazel eyes that were at risk of eye color change.

Just ordered Careprost from ADC-Rapidlash has just about made my lashes longer but not thicker, which I would love.
