Longview Farms. I have ordered from them many times. Excellent quality emu oil and great customer service. Emu oil is good for dry skin and also skin sensitivity and conditions like eczema.

Try camden-grey for an excellent array of oils and prices including emu. Great information concerning everything you'd want to know about them also.

I am using emu oil shampoo to help with a scalp irritation -- it has done a remarkable job alleviating it in just about a week. It's quite expensive, however, and I'd like to mix emu oil with my own preferred (Tresseme) shampoo. Can anyone tell me what the ratio of emu oil to shampoo would be? Like maybe 2 T. in 8 oz? I would appreciate advice!

Yes I've ordered from them before. Their ultra clear emu oil is supposed to be better than regular oil.

I also have ordered from emuoildepot.com and really like their products as well. Their body lotions and creams are so moisturing. I always keep a small bottle of pure emu oil on hand. It's great for cuts, burns and scars.

I think you will be happy ordering from either company. I've never had any problem with my orders from them.

I use emu oil for scalp irritation, but I don't mix it with my shampoo. Instead, I take a couple of drops and apply it to my scalp with my fingertips before I take a shower. I let it sit for a few minutes, then I shampoo my hair. It works really well! You could also just add a drop of oil to the shampoo in your hand, but I find that the shampoo doesn't lather as well that way and my hair can look greasy.

I've been using emu oil from emugold (emugold.com) for many years. It does have other things like Vitamin E to keep it fresher, and I actually find that helpful b/c my last bottle lasted for about 2-3 years at least. This is the brand I used when I needed to heal a piercing and it worked wonders.

Suuthe.com is the best place to buy Pure Emu Oil. I hope this is helpful. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

I bought mine from Garden of Wisdom also. It must be popular, it was out of stock at first.

I will use it to 'push' the copper peptides into my skin, when my skin is ready for that. It was a lot cheaper on GoW than on the SkinBiology site where I bought the CP.

Yes! it's the preferred moisturizer for many people. It's kind of icky for me since I'm veggie, but for absorbency, Dr. Pickert recommends the emu oil over any other, even jojoba.

Is emu oil from a dead emu? {#emotions_dlg.sad}I have always wonderd about this when I see it posted here. I couldn't use if it were. I seek out cruelty free. I do use argan oil. And cleansing oil.

I don't believe in the concept of h*ll, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.

I buy my emu oil from allradianthealth DOT com. Their oil is fully refined, does not have smell and is cheaper than most sites. It's $14.99 for 4 oz. and their shipping is cheaper than most sites. They also have other sizes including 2, 8, 16 oz.

Yes, emu oil is collected when the bird is harvested primarily for its meat. Emus are bred and raised on farms for the meat and eggs primarily. Emus have these unusual (for a bird) 'fat patches' (i think a couple around the breast muscle, but the big one is on their back, almost like a camel!) which is suppose to help them weather droughts, etc. So emu oil comes from a dead emu. Its the fat patches which are processed for the oil which is highly regarded for cosmetic purposes.

I have emu oil from a skin care company , and I have argan oil... and I use the argan oil much more than the emu.. so save an animal and use the argan oil... it seems much nicer on the skin.

I got my Emu oil from Lure Beauty.

It is having a 25% off sale at the moment (ends December 24th at midnight).

Use code: HOLIDAY25

Check it out here:

Lure Beauty also sells Skinbiology products and the 25% off is applicable.

It also offers many nice body care products (various types of body butters) in dupes of designer scents. You can check out the scents it offers on the left column on this page.http://lurebeauty.com/body-care.html

I have the Cashmere mist type and Be Delicious DKNY Type and they are wonderful.

Almost every single part of the emu is used, so its not like they're killing wild animals just for the oil. They're like cows. So depending on your views of chickens and cows, there ya go.

I am using Garden of Wisdom Classic Azule face cream w/Emu Oil with excellent results. My skin can get very dry in winter...this cream also contains chamomile oil. It is a great moisturizer & non greasy. I really like it. Garden of Wisdom is an excellent site for oils, hydrators, serums, masks, cleansers, body products, etc. Great products & fantastic customer service. Very pleased with the products I've tried. Their Winter Balm is a favorite of mine for hydrating & protecting my skin (face too!) during the cold, harsh winters here in PA. I also love their Tamanu & Marula oils, and the Sinfully Rich hand cream. It is worth checking out the website....lots of skin info too & a nice forum.

It's overpriced on Skin Biology - otherwise you could also use squalene from olives.

You know they kill the animal for this, right? Also, it's terrible for your face, clogs pores really bad.
