I'm wondering if any of you have used a drugstore brand eyelash treatment that works?????
Any suggestions for something less expensive that Latisse???
TIA

RapidLash-has given me back my eyebrows and I had a perfect stranger in the hospital look at me (younger woman) and tell me I had beautiful eyes and lashes. I'm 50+. It takes about 6-8 weeks.

I agree about RapidLash - I have longer lashes and plan to add to eyebrows. Try Beauty.com or the skinstore sites == they sometimes have 20% off (it's usually about $49 but lasts a couple months for me).

RapidLash, RapidLash, RapidLash!!! If you have a Harmon store near you, they accept BB&B coupons(owned by them) for 20% off the reg. price of $45.00...comes out to be $36.00. My short, stubby lashes are now soooo long & thick. I've received compliments (& questions from friends). And the tube lasts forever and I use it Twice a day and on the upper & lower lashes. It'll be the best $$ you ever spent. Takes 6-8 weeks for results to start, but you won't be sorry. HTH

Some darkening on the area it's applied to -- I have a little reddening on the upper eye area, but nothing I can't cover. No itching or pain for me (and I have brown eyes, so I can't say whether there has been any color change).
Maestra -- thanks for the tip about Amazon!

Hazel eyes and no color change (& I would stop using if it changed my eye color 'cause I like my eye color)

Well, so far I'm not impressed with RapidLash. I've been using it faithfull since December and no difference for me at all. :-(

bummer for you. I don't even have to wear mascara for a casual eye anymore.

I have used both PTR and Lilash, they worked equally well. I just ordered Rapid Lash, so I am very happy to see all the good reviews. I was at the opthomologist the other day, and I asked him about the prosteglandin-containing products, if he felt they were safe to use. I was surprised when he said he was unaware that there were any on the market. He gave me the go-ahead, but warned about getting it in your eyes. I can't wait to start the Rapid Lash!

The product I am currently using is not really an OTC
eyelash growth product. I ordered Careprost from alldaychemist.com. It cost me a little over 35.00, and I did not need a prescription for it. It contains the active ingredient "bimatoprost". This ingredient, as many of you know, is used to treat glaucoma. And it is the active ingredient in Latisse. You apply it to upper lashes only, as you would appy eyeliner. I have been using it since late December without any side effects other than long, strong, beautiful eyelashes. I would say it took about 10 weeks of daily use to see a noticable change in length. I use it with Mally mascara and wowee yowee! Yes, I was hesitant, at first, to try such a product. I've been in the nursing profession for over 25 years and I'm not frivolous when it comes to using what is basically a prescription strength product so I discussed this with my opthamologist prior to ordering. I would encourage anyone else thinking of trying this treatment to do the same
I just couldn't justifly paying for the cost of Latisse, when I could purchase the same active ingredient for about 1/4 of the cost. This is just my experience and wanted to share it with you. I'm new to posting to these boards and I just want to say that I love all of the information you ladies impart here. I've really learned a lot.

I want to try RapidLash. The cosmetics lady at CVS showed me her lovely long eyelashes that were a result of using RapidLash. I think I will be trying this. She said her eyes did not change color and she has pretty blue eyes. I saw this product on Amazon for around $30.

I have been using Brow and Lash Serum with KGF from Skin Actives for 6 months and it works great...it also only costs $9.50!! At that time,I was trimming my brows with one of those little stick trimmers and slipped, cutting off all my left eyelashes. They are completely grown back and longer and thicker. If you are interested, the site is skinactivesdotcom.

Rapidlash has done wonders for my eyelashes; I used Latisse first, and when my Latisse was all gone switched to Rapidlash; Rapidlash did every bit as well for me as the twice as expensive Latisse did for me, and I'm now on my second Rapidlash. Before all of this i used Tarte which was $65 and did nothing for me.

I didn't want to spend the $$$ on Latisse so I purchased RapidLash on Amazon for around $30. I've been using it for about 4 weeks and I can see a difference already, especially when applying my mascara. I actually have eyelashes now! LOL! I would highly recommend it!

Does this only work on the eyelash or can you use it for the eyebrows also? My eyebrows are very thin and I would like something to fill them in.
