Help!!! Has anyone heard of these pillows? I heard about them on Imus in the Morning TV show and they do sound wonderful They make no medical claims, but people say they sleep better and longer, the pillows reduces neck and back pain, etc. I do have neck and back pain and cannot remember the last time I slept through the night. I'm constantly tossing and turning. They are pretty expensive -- I believe $80 for standard size and $9 for S&H. I have a promo code for 20% off, but the price is still something to consider. The company offers a 60 day full guarantee, less S&H which seems fair to me. Just curious if anyone has tried these pillows and what you may think.

Edited to add web site. www.mypillow.com. The company is out of Minnesota.

I looked at the site and, personally, I don't think it warrants the price.

I use a contoured Tempurpedic Pillow which I like. Serta sells them too but, whatever brand you get, be sure to get the contour that matches your head to neck measurement. I got one that had too much of a rise and it didn't work well for me. They aren't nearly as expensive and worth a try.

Sounds like a con to me. States right on the website that they've done no clinical testing and have no medical evidence - just doctors' (undoubtedly paid) and users' opinions. Making no promises but implying that it will help nearly every health issue known to man.{#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}

I have one but I wouldn't buy another. I don't see any difference at all in the way I feel but I still have time to send it back. The ads are all over the TV as well in the early morning hours. Wish I had spent the money on the chiropractor I am seeing now and for my neck.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY FOR THIS OVERPRICED PILLOW!

I tried MyPillow and it was absolutely terrible! First, their claim that it stays cool is TOTALLY UNTRUE. It was warmer to start with than my own pillow, and kept getting hotter. Second, it bunched up on each side of my face when I was laying on my back, making me even hotter. No matter how I tried to adjust it, it was still the same. Third, I couldn’t fall asleep with it so I went back to my own pillow which was cool and supported me fine. I have one of those curvy pillows that cost me $20 and works perfect! Fourth, when I returned it, their policy is NOT to give back the $9.95 shipping costs I paid. Fifth, the cheapest it cost me to send it back with a deliver receipt was $9.00. Therefore this pillow cost me $19 and I have nothing but aggravation to show for it! We’ll see how long it takes for them to credit me back the cost of the pillow after they have received it. That will be my follow up letter. My suggestion: DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY FOR THIS OVERPRICED PILLOW! Buy the curved foam pillow from a Walmart or Cosco for $20. It works like a charm! If it doesn’t, return it for your FULL money back!

I have had mine about a month. It's wonderful! My neck gives me a lot of trouble. My pillow has helped me so much.

I bought this pillow a few weeks ago. I'm still trying to make it work for me, but then again I'm still trying to make the last 20 other pillows I've purchased work too! LOL Try it, you might like it, but not likely.

I bought two about 2 months ago...king size. I was using 2 pillows and currently using just the one...I got the "green" level fill which is pretty firm, but being able to sleep on one pillow is so much more comfy.

Having said that, I'm not sure I would spend the money again. They are very nice pillows, but I cannot imagine I will keep this one for much longer than I keep my other pillows although you CAN wash it. How it performs after washing will determine if I keep it again.

Mostly I am a clean freak and after about 6 months or so, I want a new pillow. If I can wash these without degradation, I might keep them.

I think pillows are a very personal item and what works for one, might not work for another. Right now, this pillow is working for me, but I agree that they are pricey. I had a 20 percent off coupon too...and that is the only reason I bought when I did.

Amen brother! THis is EXACTLY my experience with these pillows. Husband and I just returned ours about 10days ago....horrible pillows. So hot on your face...and made my husbands snoring even worse! I am hoping they will credit the refund back quickly but some companies can take 30days or longer to "get around to it".

The pillow is miraculous! I have been tortured my DH's snoring for YEARS, and after reading a thread here, I bought the pillow for hmi. As long as he adjusts it as directed, he does not snore anymore. I can hardly believe that something this simple has worked so well. I would recommend for anyone who has a snorer, to try it. It can be returned within sixty days, twice the time that most places will accept a return, and I am thrilled to say that I will not be returning this gem.

hi

just received the "white" pillow last week, hopimg it would help my snoring/apnea issues (drives my husband nuts). so far, we haven't seen any decrease in issues. however it is very comfortable and i tend to sleep more comfortably. it looks lumpy, but it is not lumpy under your head.{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes} still deciding if i will keep it.

If the pillow does not work, it is not being adjusted properly, in my opinion.

I was going to buy this pillow for my DH UNTIL I read the reviews on Amazon......decided to pass !

Well, I wouldn't rule it out based on price. I have a contour memory foam pillow and it cost me $80 years ago. However, I won't go anywhere overnight without it - it has helped my neck a lot. I took mine to my chiropractor and she checked to make sure it was right for me.

You mentioned sleep apnea - do you use a CPAP machine. I used to toss and turn and wake up multiple times per night until I got my machine. I sleep so much better now! It's made a huge difference in my life. I'm told I no longer snore at all and before I could be heard 1/2 a block away. If you have sleep apnea, get the CPAP immediately!

Anyone who snores should certainly be checked for sleep apnea. I was stopping breathing over 100 times a night - bad for your heart.

I almost got sucked in until I read the reviews. The majority are not happy especially considering the cost for poor workmanship and discomfit.

I always make the effort to read the reviews before I make a final decision to buy.

The pillow should be rolled, and contoured/tucked around the neck for proper support. I suggest you watch the video on the website, which may be helpful.

I can't believe all the negative remarks. I purchased from mypillow and I couldn't be happier. I am sleeping longer and more sound and have fallen in love with this pillow. I am referring everyone I know to them. I had tried about 6 different pillows and none of them were working for me. Either I would wake up sweating or I would wake up with numb hands, arms etc. I have had none of these issues with this pillow and I have had it approximately one month. I am in the process of purchasing 4 more for other family members. I suppose it is a personal preference with pillows but I am so happy I found this company and that I can wash and dry this pillow as often as I like and it will not loose its shape. Not too many pillow companies can say that. Give them a try.

I just noticed you wrote poor workmanship. Mine came perfect and is not poorly made. I think it is a very impressive pillow.

My Mom called me about this pillow. I guess she watched the infomercial, and was ready to order 4 of them,LOL. But she is a funny sleeper, she is the 1st and true princess and the pea. I went to Amazon, who used to sell the pillow (but because of poor satisfaction) quit selling it. There are 53 reviews there I found very interesting. 21 reviewers gave it 5 stars, the rest were 1 star or 2 stars, there was a couple 3 star. Everyone, even those who love the pillow say it is over priced for what you get, with shipping and tax they are over 100 bucks. The other thing they mentioned (those who loved it, or gave 3 stars) is it is VERY important to get the right size. I guess they come in about 5 different sizes, and everyone stressed that sizing was key to comfort.

On the negative side it was said it was so over priced, it didn't have enough retrieval of the stuffing, and kept going flat. Also, many mentioned it was lumpy, it does not smooth out because this is the way the pillow works. It was like lumpy foam inside, and many felt the lumpiness. You have to shake it a lot. The other thing reviewers mentioned is the sound. I guess some very light sleepers mentioned a crackling/popping noise in their ear, when they moved their head on the pillow. Especially side sleepers. Most mentioned that for the money they expected a better nights sleep, and more from the pillow than they got.

Everyone who did actually return the pillow, found it expensive to do so, at 12-16 dollars. A few didn't want to bother so they just kept it.

I have nothing against the pillow but there is a cheap way to help snoring, neck pain, ext. roll a sweet shirt. You can but the arms around you meaning cross the arms and then tuck it under your underarms. You can also let them hang. You may have to play with the tightness of the roll until you get it to the way you like it. This info was give to me by my neuro. Good luck to all.

I would not recommend this pillow to anyone as I haven't noticed a difference at all in my neck distress. Much too costly to use as a regular pillow.

usboy791342253330.031 PostsRegistered 7/14/2012

Don't buy it.. It was a good pillow for a bit, but it retains heat. I turned the pillow and did the instructions, but, I have had more hip and shoulder issues. I'm 33 and I tried a "normal" pillow" and my back feels much better.

Also, My mom bought one for my dad, she just asked me "is yours hot?" It retains heat..
