Where/How does one dispose of lamp oil? Please advise - thanks!

Good evening, everyone! I purchased a VPH "lamp" filled with silk flowers, lamp oil, and a glass wick years and years ago (yeah, it's as bad as it sounds! {#emotions_dlg.blush} ). I've been trying to "burn" it "empty", but now the wick no longer works.

How/where do I dispose of this monster? Will auto parts stores that recycle oil take it? I don't know what to do -- any ideas?

Thanks in advance for all of your suggestions!

Put it in a larger disposable container, fill it with cat litter or another absorbent material to "dry it up." And put it in the trash.

I don't know if an auto parts store would be interested; you could ask.

ETA...This was the advice to me from the local landfill attendants when I had a similar situation.

Your city should have a "disposal" place where you can take things like paint, motor oil, etc.
