I like Vera Bradley bags because they are light weight. I have two cameras that I carry around and am looking for a Vera Bradley bag that could be used to carry a camera (or two) with equipment.
I buy on Ebay and there is a seller that gives return customers a discount, not much, but everything helps.
I need pockets, shoulder strap and something compact, yet big enough to carry small slr camera with batteries and charger. I also have a pocket camera that I could carry there as well.
They have a tech case- but that's really for jsut one smaller camera and maybe some accessories (batteries, memory card - or cords). It's a wristlet too- although lanyards are sold where you can make it for around the neck (my daughter did with hers).
If you're looking for something a little bigger with a true shoulder strap, the mini hipsters are a great crossbody wiht lots of pockets! There's also a regular hipster- a little bigger but still a compact bag with great organization.
The Vera Bradley website is a wealth of information!
I've had to call the C/S people a couple of times. If someone here can't help you, perhaps you can call them and give them all the information about what you're needing to carry. I found them to be very helpful. Love VB!!!!
I use a Vera baby bag to carry my camera and accessories. It may be larger than you are looking for, but it works good for me.
Checking the VB website is a great suggestion. You can look around and get an idea of what might work for you. If you can't decide between a few, you can run the styles past us on this board and get suggestions.
If you are looking for a cross-body, Saddle Up is a great one. The center section is ample and of course there are pockets inside. Under the magnetic front flap, there are two good sized pockets you could use for batteries, etc.
I did look on the website and read all I could find. It just couldn't give me the first hand experience you all can give me. I didn't think to call them. I think that will be my next step. Thanks.
Update, thanks all. I called the website and got a bag that they suggested and when I checked on Ebay it was cheaper to buy directly from them.
It was the side by side tote. I am happy with the customer service and hopefully pleased with my selection.
I am getting tired of carrying my cameras and hunting for the parts inside a bag that is too big or not properly divided.
The side by side tote is pretty sizeable- a great bag (lots of organization!) but the shoulder strap wasn't long enough for the bag to fit comfortably under my arm. I was in 'I need a Vera tote!' mode for awhile, I bought the Villager in Puccini. I'm fortunate to have a Vera store nearby so I 'tested' the fit first!! What pattern did you get?
The Villager tote would be a good option. It has several pockets inside, two pockets outside, a nice long shoulder drop and a top zipper closure. It is roomy without being overwhelmingly big.
The Vera tote is a bit larger (I use one for a gym bag, another for hauling the kids' stuff around) but it closes with a toggle, not a zipper. Still lightweight. Quite spacious inside.
Something Wonderful Is About To Happen!!!!
I got Versailles. It was on sale for $39 and even Ebay sellers could not beat it even after I payed shipping and tax. I am going to try it out. It is has flat bottom which will make my camera more secure if there is such a thing in a soft bag. I am forever trying to find all my camera parts in what I usually carry. I had to get something. My camera bags were never right for exactly what I carry. I love photography and take lots of shots just about everywhere I go. I am starting to get calls for my pictures when someone wants to print something or honor someone.
Doubled answer so I erased this one. Sorry. I am waiting for the bag to arrive.

Today the VB site is offering 20% off on all sale items- tomorrow it'll be 10%. The promo code is EARLYBIRD. Versailles is a great pattern- that was my first last year!! If you contact VB's site, they'll credit you the 20%. Great customer service!
Ebay is great for VB sometimes- I've only bought the current patterns from ebay since VB often omits them from their sales. I was anxious for the large duffel in Baroque specifically- $50 on ebay. And over $80 at the store!

I placed an order earlier today and didn't know about the code. I called and they issued me a credit/gift code for my next order @ 20% off my order. BUT they raised the prices between the time I placed my order, pretty much 20% on the items I ordered. I still got the lower prices + the 20% credit for my next order.
Good customer service but they do play the games with prices and % off . . .
Oh well, I'm happy with my order, my prices and my 26 bucks and some change for my future order.

I just called to see if they would give me a discount. They said it was ordered and it was too late. And they said they did not know about the offer and had put it in without it. I felt rather uneasy because places like Coldwater Creek would not have treated me that way.
However to appease me, they are going to email me a certificate on the next order which will amount to free shipping.
I feel better, but the 20% would have been nice. And their system should have been set up to help me out.
