Dear gardening fans,
It's been a VERY busy week for folks who love patio, gardening, and outdoor living spaces! Here at QVC, my seasonal gardening show, Garden Party with Carolyn, has moved back into its regular timeslot, on Tuesday mornings at 10am ET, as well as a few other spots on the Q schedule. You can catch it weekday afternoons, and during a special 3-hour extravaganza on Saturday, March 10 from 8-11pm ET.
Here in eastern Pennsylvania, the Philadelphia Horticultural Society has once again put on quite a show with their annual Philadelphia Flower Show. This year's theme was all about the tropical lushness of the Hawaiian Islands and featured beautiful displays of color and amazing fragrance, as well as tons of interesting ideas on designing your own outdoor landscape filled with lovely shades of greenery. One display featured a 40-foot "green wall" made up of potted plants in varying positions—culminating in a beautiful wall of green privacy. They also explained which plants to use and why.
That's what's so great about the Philadelphia Flower Show... not only can you shop and find fabulous items for your patio, garden, pool, and pond—but you also LEARN so much and discover so many creative ways to do your own designs with plants, flowers, and landscapes. It's a fascinating event and isn't to be missed, no matter what shade of green or brown your thumb may be!
I've included some photos from this year's show for you to enjoy... and speaking of photos, I'd also like to invite all of you to share your OWN gardening photos on my Facebook page! That way we can share them with our viewers (and your fellow Q shoppers) on my Garden Party with Carolyn show throughout this season. I know there are lots of you out there with some beautiful flowers, plants, veggies, and fruit to show off, after all of your hard work last season!
Also be sure to tell us which Cottage Farms and Roberta's plants are your favorites. And let us know what gardening décor, fountains, tools, and patio items you love, and which you want to see more of on the Q! Meanwhile, don't forget to join me every Tuesday at 10am ET during the gardening season. For any show you may have missed, you can always check out the Garden Party page where we feature items from past shows as well as some of my favorite tools, gloves, hats, and more from the Garden Shed!
See you soon, and happy gardening!

You and Philip Watson are a great, great team. I have learned so much from just listening to you 2 about flowers, etc. and when he came out yesterday with those sunglassses and sat down in that comfortable chair, he acts like he justs belongs. What a great personality he has. God Bless You Both. I love to hear you laugh when he is around. I am right over the line in West Va., only about 1 hr. from Baltimore ( my original home). I know all the effort and hard work you put in your shows and just want you to know that, I, a loyal customer, do appreciate that. I am always sorry when Philip has to leave, as he has become one of the highlights of the "Q", a perfect gentleman but a wonderful personality and sense of humor. God Bless Carolyn I hope you can help me....... I purchused an orange tree from Robert's on QVC about 4 or 5 years ago. It gets full of Flowers every year and gets tiny little oranges on it about the size of a small pea and then they all fall off. Can you tell me what I might be doing wrong I have yet to get 1 orange off it. But the smell and then flowers are just so pretty. Really want to try an orange off it some yaer lol. Can you please help. Thanks an I just love your pet shows......... You are the best at what you do hagd!!!!!!!!!!! It just seem you can not find a decent price for one these past 2 of 3 years and if you do find them, they're either a kit that you can make 1 yourself, or made from hollow plastic squares or square of cement that looks like something you build a wall with or very cute but way overpriced for a stepping stone I would want to put in my garden (like $30 and up for 1). I would like something decorative or with a few nice words on it (like: "I love German Shepards" or simply "I love my dog" or "Memory Stone of my dog Over the Rainbow") and the average person could still step on it to keep your feet out of the mud & mulch while you weed or cut a flower. Also, I'd like some life-size real-looking dog figures for the yard or garden (like German Shepards, dobermans in resting or sitting position). -- Thank You -- katnkel1332864453.534 PostsRegistered 12/24/2011 Hi Carolyn-Just watched todays Garden Party show and LOVED the new pieces from Plow and Hearth. I get that catalog but liked seeing them "in person" I ordered the wind spinner cat and mouse, did "bill to/ship to" and had it sent to my granddaughter-a real cat lover. Then I also purchased the solar fairy with the flower for my daughter. We are all passionate gardeners and these new items were a welcome addition to the Garden Party mix. Keep them coming. My yard is FILLED with Roberta's, Cottage Farms, I have two solar fountains and this year I have added the WELCOME bench. We live right outside of DC and we have a Shopping Center near by named Fairfax Corners & two years or so ago Plow & Hearth moved a shop in there. My two addictions are Plow & Hearth and QVC. Last year I purchased a bench from Plow & Hearth for more money than the Welcome bench I purchased from QVC this year. Our outdoor seating area is in our front yard and during the summer our neighbor's kids hangout during the day & then when the parents get home in the evening they come over for a beer or two to unwind. What a lovely addition the WELCOME bench is. I purchased both Plow & Hearth Fairies from Tuesday's show. Please keep items from Plow & Hearth coming, since I have shopped there several times I can tell you that they are a top-notch company, much like QVC. Finally, I want to tell you how GREAT you look. Your hard work is paying off!!! Thank you, amy Last edited on 3/28/2012
