Q: Does this laptop have a touchscreen? A: Yes.


Q: Does it come with an owner's manual? A: The owner's manual is available through HP Support Assistant and also at hp.com.


Q: What is the weight of the computer? A: The 15" model weighs 5.62 lbs. The 17" model weighs 6.91 lbs.


Q: How long does the initial battery charge take? A: The battery from the factory is typically 50-75% charged for immediate use. For best results, the battery should be charged overnight after first use.


Q: Will the memory card reader read SD memory cards? A: Yes.


Q: Is this Wi-Fi capable? A: Yes.


Q: Is the wireless card built in?   A: The Wi-Fi is integrated, but there is not a 4G or 3G wireless card built into this laptop.


Q: Is it Bluetooth-capable? A: No.


Q: What type of a router do I need? A: Any wireless router can be used.


Q: Can this be connected by cable to a printer? A: Yes.


Q: Can you print wirelessly from this computer? A: Yes, if you have a wireless-enabled printer.


Q: Is the operating system 64-bit? A: Yes.


Q: Can the user upgrade the memory? A: No, the memory in this laptop has been upgraded to maximum capacity of 8GB DDR3L.


Q: Can the processor be upgraded? A: No.


Q: Does it have a CD/DVD drive? A: Yes, this laptop has a SuperMulti DVD burner.

Q: Can I obtain a larger battery? A: Yes, larger extended life batteries are available direct through hp.com.


Q: Is there a docking station for this computer? A: No.


Q: Is there a TV tuner? A: No.


Q: Does this have a webcam? A: Yes.


Q: What is the megapixel level of the webcam? A: 1.3 megapixels.

Q: Can you connect a mouse? A: Yes, either a wireless mouse with a USB dongle or a wired mouse with a USB cable.

Q: Are backup discs for Windows 8.1 and other software included? A: No, backup discs are not included. You can create recovery discs at initial startup or by using HP Recovery Manager.

Q: Does it include a remote control? If not, can one be purchased? A: No, there is not a remote control available for this laptop.

Q: Can I scroll through different screens without having to close what I am currently working on? A: Yes, using the Windows Key and TAB button or ALT + TAB.


Q: Can you Skype with this computer? A: Yes.


Q: Does the touchpad have slide bar on the side and bottom? A: No, this is a multigesture supported touchpad, meaning you can use two fingers to pinch, zoom, minimize, or scroll. A video tutorial on how to use the touchpad is pre-loaded into the Windows 8 start screen.


Q: What is the difference between USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports? A: USB 3.0 is newer technology and offers data transfer rates at up to 10X faster than USB 2.0.


Q: Can you connect an external monitor? A: Yes, there is an HDMI port for an external monitor connection.


Q: What is Bluestacks?   A: Bluestacks is a software program that allows you to download and run Android apps in a Windows environment.


Q: How does Bluestacks work? A: Once Bluestacks is installed and launched on your laptop, you'll have a full-screen Android environment to work with, very similar to what you would see on an Android smartphone. All of the apps available in the Google Play Store are ready for download to your Windows laptop using Bluestacks.


Q: Do you have to have an Android device to use Bluestacks? A: No.


Q: Where can you download or purchase the Android apps? A: You download Android apps from the Google Play store.


Q: Can I download all available Android apps? A: Yes.


Q: Are there free apps? A: Yes, many of the apps in the Google Play Store are free.
