Sticking with Your New Year’s Resolutions

Dear QVC friends,

Hope you’re having a fantastic 2014 so far! Did you make any New Year’s resolutions? If you did, how do you feel about your accomplishments so far?

Many American adults make resolutions every year, with losing weight consistently at the top of everyone’s list. Unfortunately, many New Year’s resolutions fail by the end of the year. Seems like everyone starts out strong and determined to meet their goals but after a few weeks, their efforts begin to slack off a bit until completely dropping off by the end of the year.

So why do resolutions fail? Just wishing and hoping for something to happen isn’t enough. You have to make real lifestyle changes if you want to achieve your goals, particularly with weight management. First things first: You need to get real and be honest with yourself. If your resolution seems too hard or your goals are unrealistic, you probably won’t stick with them.

I put together 5 simple steps to help you keep your New Year’s resolutions this year. Just follow these steps and you could be writing your own success story later this year!

  1. Focus on just one resolution and set realistic, specific goals. Put your goal in writing. Instead of writing something like "lose weight," it’s better to have a concrete goal, such as "lose 10 lbs. in 90 days and three inches off my waist."

  2. Commit to a lifestyle change. Incorporate the changes you make into your regular lifestyle so they’re easier to stick with. (For example: join an exercise class or meet a friend at the gym and work out for 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week before dinner).

  3. Take small steps. Start with small changes, such as adding more protein to your diet, cutting out soda and soft drinks, or taking a walk every day. Then bump up the changes a little each week. Small incremental changes are easier to stick with.

  4. Celebrate your success. Keep track of your progress and give yourself a pat on the back at each milestone. Don’t wait until your goal is completed. If you lost two pounds this week, go ahead and give yourself a gold star or treat yourself to a little mani/pedi or something nice. If you slip up, don’t worry about it. Just get back into your routine the next day.

  5. Get the help you need. Along with a standard 2,000 calorie-per-day diet and a regular exercise program (such as walking for 30 minutes a day, five days a week), my Re-Body Meratrim Fruit & Flower Formula is a great tool that can help support your weight loss goals.

The ingredients in this fruit and flower formula were clinically tested. In the clinical study, when overweight subjects combined Meratrim with a standard 2,000 calorie diet and a walking program of 30 minutes per day, five days per week, they started to see reductions in weight beginning within two weeks.

One of the unique attributes of my Re-Body Meratrim product is that it’s caffeine free. I’ve ensured our products are based on science, so you can use them with confidence.

I’m so excited about my new Re-Body Meratrim Fruit & Flower Formula. I’m bringing it to you this week on Wednesday, January 29, as a Today’s Special Value offer with a low price available exclusively on QVC. Be sure to tune in or check out qvc.com details!

If you’re concerned about your weight and have made a resolution to do something about it this year, I urge you to consider Meratrim. And as always, check with your health care provider before starting any dietary supplement or weight loss programs.

Have a happy, healthy new year!
