What's in a Name & A Very Special Wednesday Set of Two!

Posted by Linda Davies 1374613116

Coming Soon!

Hello fashionistas... It is the middle of July... I have blinked and summer is half over.  First and foremost let me just say it was lovely meeting so many of you at the dinner Friday night of the Lisa Robertson weekend. What a wonderful beautiful talented group of women. It was an honor to get to chat with most of you and talk about life, friendship, husbands, children, shopping, and of course QVC. Our dinner inspired me on what to write in my blog this week. So stay with me, you never know where my thoughts will travel.

What is in a NAME? With the baby watch over in London now, the frenzy is what will be the name of the new king one day. We place so much emphasis on a name.  Our name is our tag line... when you hear a name it evokes emotion, good or bad. With our fine group of ladies Friday evening we discussed QVC alot.  I asked the question what is it about QVC that you would give up a weekend and travel from 18 different states to be with US. You can guess the number one answer: a get away from the husband and kids... for some FUN. All kidding aside, it is what QVC stands for that brought us together. The name evokes a wonderful positive response. A great shopping experience, a sense of community and friendship. Quality, value, and convience; straight to the point.

I told my new friends Friday night that a very special LCny item was coming up at MIDNIGHT this Wednesday. I asked what does the name LCny mean to you?  WOW the response was humbling. Wonderful sophisticated fashion. Classic lines for the everyday modern woman. Whether single, married, mom, working, retired; it fits all lifestyles. The fact that LCny covers all ages beautifully was pointed out by a gorgeous mom of twins... TIMELESS!!! So what is in a name? LCny has been a leader in fashion for over twenty years and is still rocking and we are so proud to have this brand at QVC. On Wednesday the very special item (pictured above) is a beautiful set of two shirts, on short sleev and one 3/4 length sleeve, a basic color and a pop. You can shop with confidence because everything is in a name, especially one you can trust.

At the end of the evening a lovely woman approached me and told me my name to her means friend.  She looks forward to Wednesday mornings with MBR and myself. As she stated it is like shopping with her sisters. That is the best compliment I have had in a long time. So to all of my beautiful friends (sisters) join me on Wednesday for a day filled with LCny.  The two essential shirts are a great way to check out the LCny NAME and join in the fun. P.S. You need them, as I always say to my sister Karen.

Linda, You are truly a beautiful person inside and out! I admire you for how you handle everything. You lost your husband but kept the ship (family) steady. I read what you said at your daughter's wedding and it was so heartfelt ....beautifully said....thank you for sharing personal moments. You and MBR do a great job with the LizC line....you compliment one another and are fun to watch. Good luck in all you do.

Love the Liz fashions. The T's are nice but they need to be a couple inches longer. Yes, they are at the top of your legs but if you move they are way above and I don't like my stomach to stick out from the hem!! I am an XL. I do have several of the T's short sleeve and long.

Thank you for bringing in such nice things.

I want to order these, but have a sizing question -- hope you can answer. I haven't bought LCNY T's before. I typically wear a medium in other brands, but based on the specific measurements for these shirts, wonder if I should size up to get a looser fit. If I size up, do you think the shirts would be too big in the neckline? I don't want these to cling to me, but I also don't want the neckline to look too big. Thanks for any help you can offer!

The TSV colors are beautiful. I'm unsure what size to buy. Does the TSV run a little large? The shirt in the website item photos look large on the ladies.

I think you will get the best fit if you order your true QVC size. This tee has some give to it which is inherit in the cotton interlock fabrication. Take a look at the models when they come out, and I will ask them if they are wearing true to size. Thanks!

TrishaMN.....these shirts run true to size, so I suggest ordering in your regular QVC size.

Take a look at it on the models when they come on. Thanks

Good morning & good luck with the TSV! I would have purchased them but my closet is already full of 3/4 sleeved tops and the short sleeved version of the TSV is way too short for my way too full upper arms. The shirts are very lovely but what I need are long sleeved turtleneck tops for layering this fall and winter. I enjoy the LCNY shows so much that I tune in every week for some girl time fun. Just received my first pair of LCNY ponte knit slim leg jeans in black and I am so impressed with the fit and feel! Can't wait to wear them with tall boots and long tunics and cardigans this fall. QVC should give LCNY 2 hour shows regularly! I will keep watching just for fun because Linda & MaryBeth crack me up. Any idea when the Q will host Fall Fashion Day? Take care and have an awesome day! Oh and Linda, what's in a name? My mother would say, your good name is your reputation and how others see you, so keep it honest and honorable. Say what you mean and mean what you say and you will be known as someone who is worthy of trust. LCNY makes an effort to do just that by offering items that stand up to their claims. That's why I make my purchases with you. I can feel good about making my clothing investments with you and with QVC because there's no risk. I know I can trust you guys to deliver what you claim and I can relax because I know QVC will work with me on returns, exchanges and refunds. No hassle. It's a win/win for me. Much Love to you all. Thanks for making my life easier. :D

Good morning. I have always been a fan of Liz Claiborne and I still have a few items from years ago. I especially love my hooded that I bought years ago. I use it when I am traveling on air conditioning planes. If maxi dresses are still a fashion item next year, I would like to request maxi dresses with sleeves, short sleeves or 3/4 sleeves. I have a long scar on my arm from dialysis and do not enjoy wearing sleeveless anything any more and it is for a petite woman. I love the TSV.

Can't wait to wear the Ikat high/low skirt with the royal blue t-shirt(TSV)! I love teals, aqua, blues & greens. Thinking that by choosing one of the accent colors in the skirt is a bit ... unexpected. I hope to wear the skirt with another dressy top in aqua to a wedding next month. The versatility of the skirt is what attracted me to it.

Good morning! I have a question about the dip dye cardigan. Can you please tell me which ones come with silver buttons and which with gold? Thanks!

Thank you! I just heard my question on air. That helps me in my ordering decision. BTW, I did order the TSV also! Smile

Hi MamaIJ!

You will absolutely love it....it is secured on the side, so you don't have to worry about it blowing open and the colors are fantastic! The Hi/Low feature is really flattering. It will be perfect with the royal blue, but the dark turquoise would also work. Enjoy!!

Thanks beach-mom! You will love both the sweater and the TSV!

I love the Liz Claiborne NY line, but most of the tops are too long. Is there a chance you could start offering the tops and sweaters in a petite length? The pants are offered in petite, so maybe the tops could also be offered in a shorter length.

Thanks.

I prefer to pick out my own colors and sleeve length.

Linda, I really wish that you could get Petite tee's because tunic's and longer tee's are just way to long on me. Sorry about your husband my husband died 8 years ago of cancer and my sister just died on July 12th of ovarian cancer.

Linda enjoyed the blog. It is surprising what emotions and reactions a name can mean to a person. Thanks for sharing your insight.

Now let me tell the TSV tees are simply AWESOME. When I received the Wine/Royal Blue I immediately tried them on. Super fit, the material is fabulous~soft as a baby blanket, yet definitely quality and the tops are a perfect length for me at 5'5", so many other brands are so long they are almost like the old mini skirt days. Though its too hot to wear them right now where I live, but it won't be very long before they will be the perfect tops to get out. I love them I only have one regret, I could not buy more that day. Maybe soon. I too am alone, so I have to spend wisely, that day I count as money well spend. Love LCNY clothing. My review is already in.

I do have a question, the new Jackie color jeans for any of the Jackie line are you ever going to have them in a petite length? 32" is simply too long and they never really look the same if they are altered. Can you ask them to make Jackie jeans for those of us who don't or can't wear heels in order to wear Jackie jeans? I still have to have the trouser jeans altered, unfortunately I don't live in an area where I know of many good tailors. Please take the suggestion to provide these jeans as well as other items for those of us who need or prefer a shorter inseam.

Thx Linda, see you on fall fashion day I am sure.
