The experts from Infotainment will be here all day Wednesday answering all of your questions baout the Mega 8400 Powerbank.

Below are some frequently asked questions to get you started!

Q: Is this compatible with all cell phones?
A: The MEGA8400 Powerbank is compatible with cell phones that utilize one of the three supplied tips: micro USB, mini USB, or 30-pin tip. If your phone uses a different plug, use the cord provided with your phone and plug the male USB end into the appropriate output.

Q: Can I charge an iPhone® 5 with the MEGA8400 Powerbank?
A: In order to charge the iPhone 5, one must use the Lightning USB cord that is included with the iPhone 5 at the time of purchase. Plug the Lightning tip end into the iPhone 5 and the male USB into the MEGA8400 Powerbank and press the power-on button.

Q: Can it charge a GPS?
A: Yes, provided your device can receive either 5V/1A or 5V/2.1A charge power from a mini USB, micro USB, or the proprietary cord sold with the device that has a male USB. If the cable you normally use for charging does not match the conditions above, the device will not connect to the MEGA8400 Powerbank and will not charge.

Q: Can it charge tablets, including the newest versions of iPad®?
A: Yes. In order to charge the 4th-generation iPad and iPad mini®, one must use the Lightning USB cord that is included with the iPad or iPad mini at the time of purchase. Plug the Lightning tip end into the 4th-generation iPad or iPad mini and the male USB into the MEGA8400 Powerbank output 2. Note: For various devices, the percent of charge the device will receive depends on the starting condition of the device battery. The larger battery in a 4th-generation iPad will not be brought to 100% if the iPad battery is at a low percentage charge level.

Q: Will it recharge a rechargeable digital camera or camcorder?
A: Yes, provided your device can receive either 5V/1A or 5V/2.1A power from a mini USB, micro USB, or the proprietary cord sold with the device that has a male USB. If the cable you normally use for charging does not match the conditions above, the device will not connect to the MEGA8400 Powerbank and will not charge.

Q: How do I charge the MEGA8400 Powerbank?
A: The MEGA8400 Powerbank can be recharged using the included charging splitter cable (Y-cable). Simply plug the micro USB end into the MEGA8400 Powerbank and the USB into a computer with a high-power USB or USB A/C adapter (A/C adapter and computer sold separately).

Q: Am I able to make phone calls while my phone is charging on the MEGA8400 Powerbank?

Yes! The MEGA8400 will charge your iPhone 4 up to four times before a recharge would be required. The MEGA8400 comes with the USB cable & (2) 30-pin connectors necessary to recharge your iPhone 4.

Given that it's a contained battery, airlines should not take issue with allowing one to take with on-board.

Regarding international shipping, each shipper has their own requirements. Please see the link below for FAQ's on lithium battery shipments.

The Mega Powerbank charges 5V/1A and 5V/2.1A input smaller electronic devices. It will not charge netbooks/laptops that require a much higher input voltage requirement.

We own a Motorola Xoom Tablet will this charge it? We DO own another portable charger which HAS 2 USB ports as this does along with the little port in the middle. But when we plug it into it it pops up on the tablet it does NOT work with this tablet, use the wall charger or your computer.

So we do NOT want to buy ths & it does not work on our Motorola XOOM Tablet. Our other charger works GREAT on our Android phones with NO problems at all.

Plus is there a REASON WHY 99.99999% of your description & the explanation on qvc you & them are always refering to any of the apple products, IE ipads, iphones & so on-WHY?????

It really DOES get tiresum hearing nothing else BUT apple this apple that. You DO KNOW there are ALOT of other brand name phones & tablets on the market which are MUCH BETTER than the iphone & ipad?

Our friend has a new ipad & it does NOT do everything that our Motorola XOOM does & they are mad they didn't do their research before buying the ipad which is NOT worth the price. Especially like i said there are MANY other tablets MUCH better for HALF the price or even 3x's cheaper. This also goes along with the iphone which does NOT even come close to our Android Samsung Galaxy 2 writer & just the original Galaxy 2 my wife has. We DID own iphones last year before the new version came out & it really was TERRIBLE. It could NOT do everything our Galaxy phones do plus ours did even MORE than the iphone.

So would it be possible to STOP referring to the ipad/iphone ALL the time in your descriptions. Is there a REASON WHY you can not just say any cell phone & tablet? WHY keep beating apple into our heads over & over. You MAKE it seem like that brand is the ONLY brand out there worth while to own. It's NOT the case.

Sorry for venting but it really gets tired after awhile. Even hearing the hosts keeps saying my ipad or iphone. Come on enough is enough.

Please let us know about or Motorola XOOM tablet. If it doesn't work NO sense of buying it.

thanks & sorry for going on & hope you understand why.

At the beginning of the presentation of the TSV, the show host stated that "once you charge this device, the charge will last for 9 months." What was he referring to? I never heard this statement being made again after that one comment. It appears to me, based on the chart that they showed at one time, that you can get 40 hours of charging time for various devices. Is that true?

Bruce mentioned form and function in his demonstration. Do you think he'll be adding a special pocket to his handbags for the megapower bank?

The host was referring, that the MegaPowerbank will hold its full charge for 9 months (without any use). This ables you to store the Mega Powerbank up to 9 months, knowing there will be a full charge within the Powerbank. It is recommended that the MEGA8400 Powerbank be recharged every three months to ensure proper battery conditioning.

The MEGA8400 Powerbank uses a high-quality Samsung lithium-ion battery. The number of times it can charge your device will depend on the battery size of the device, the charge level of the MEGA8400 Powerbank, and other factors, such as using the device while it is charging. There is no set timeframe on recharging the MEGA8400 Powerbank; it will be based on the demand of power it is supplying for your devices. You should monitor the power level of the MEGA8400 Powerbank per the instructions and recharge so it is ready for use when needed.

Will the Mega Powerbank charge these Android devices:
1. LG 840g mobile phone
2. Toshiba Thrive 10.1" Android tablet
3. eLocity A-100 7" Android tablet
Are the adaptor tips included or is a separate purchase required?

Does the Mega Powerbank charge:
1. Kodak digital cameras
2. Magellan GPS
3. Ematic MP3
4. Creative Labs Zen Vision M MP3

How long does an unused Mega Powerbank hold a charge?

I'd sincerely appreciate knowing in advance if your charger works with these because I don't want to go through the time and expense of having to return an item that I can't use.

Thank you, 2nascar. Just like you, I'm sick and tired of hearing about nothing but Apple. You'd think it was the only brand on the market. Statistics show that Android is the most-used format worldwide. Some of us choose brands other than Apple because they're superior due to the options that they offer (e.g. - Flash, expansion capabilities, etc.). We refuse to drink the Apple cider regarding their over-priced, over-hyped consumer electronics.

The Mega Powerbank charges 5V/1A and 5V/2.1A electronic devices and the Motorola XOOM Tablet requeires a 12V charge, so that is why it will not be able to supply a proper charge.

How is this different from Halo? Do they do the same thing?

bigfork1360737559.6338 PostsRegistered 4/21/2012

I agree with one of the posts above. I would consider buying this TSV but the whole world does not own IPADS and IPHONES. Does this work with the older cellphone models----i.e.

Motorola Razrs? Or just any "older" and non smartphone cellphone with small (I don't know if they are USB mini ports? All my "regular" cellphones which work fine with the chargers that plug in to the wall and go to the small port of the phone charge easily. But this is a great product if it works with any model cellphone????
