Weekend Recap:

Hello PM Stylers {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}.  How are you?  I trust that you are hanging on to the fact that it will be spring in a just a matter of days… and finally we can break into those white jeans and paisley tunics.  WOOHOO!  Do you have any spring break plans on the horizon?  Aaron and I would love to get away but we’re trying to save every penny we can for our honeymoon and wedding.   It’s tough because I know it will all be worth it in the end- but golly I’m itching to get out of Philadelphia and into a warmer climate! So please, let me live vicariously through you… share all of the deets!  Even though it’s been pretty cold here, we are braving the outdoor weather and trying to have a little fun.  Here is a photo of us and our friends on a pedicycle trolley in Philly- so much fun!

On Thursday of this week, I am flying home with A to do some serious wedding planning.  I mean from the time I wake up till the time I rest my head, wedding planning is in full force.  I’m doing tastings, floral arrangements, rehearsal dinner research, bridesmaid dress shopping, and my family is hosting Aaron’s family for a cookout out on Saturday.  It’s all very exciting- but if I can’t see straight because I’m so tired next Monday- you’ll know why.  I swear when people tell you wedding planning is exhausting and hard work- I thought that will never be me… I’m organized, quick on my feet, and sometimes I feel like there are not enough hours in the day.  Did you feel the exact same for your wedding?!

This past week I went to the Wedding Suite at the Philadelphia Flower Show and was so excited to meet all of the soon-to-be Brides.  Everyone was so nice.  Everyone was very open to sharing ideas with what they wanted their wedding to be like- which I thought was very cool.  Sometimes it’s easy to get lost in all of it.  My favorite gal that I met was Katie- she was having a vintage inspired wedding and had the coolest hair; red, orange, and blonde highlights.  We talked about everything from a gorgeous bold lip for the big day to blue suede shoes for her something blue.  I love how different you can be from one another but still get the feeling of inspiration and excitement for new friends.

#Dinnerfor2:  This week I decided to keep dinner really light and refreshing.  I’m a little over feeling weighed down by all of the comfort food, so I kept dinner easy and less than 10 minutes in preparation.  In a sauté pan, I used olive oil, a little bit of butter, a good bit of lemon juice, fresh garlic, and dried parsley.  I threw the shrimp on medium heat for about three minutes.  I then added mushrooms, artichokes, and turned down the heat to low-medium and let simmer for about ten minutes.     I took store-bought electrolyte water and threw in some cucumber and lemon wedges to flavor it.   I stole the water idea from Kate Somerville’s clinic and it is beyond refreshing and hydrating… you must try it!

Tonight I plan on seeing how far I can take mixing and matching of prints.  I’m taking Isaac’s cardi A230578, pairing it with my favorite denim polka dot shirt, and my favorite spring time shoes.  Let me know what you think.

Have a great week!
