Shout Out to My Friends in Boston!

Shout out to my friends in Boston!! What a great city!! James, Lauren, Chelsea and my sister Cathy and I visited Boston this past weekend for the Navy vs. Boston University lacrosse game. I have only been to Boston once to visit the Clarks offices. It was a quick trip with no time for sightseeing. I have only heard wonderful things about the city and the people of Boston and that was enough to make me/us want to make a weekend out of it.

We stayed at XV Beacon, a beautiful boutique hotel, right in the heart of the city. The game was Saturday afternoon. It was a little chilly but the rain held off until the last few minutes of the game.

This is the Boston Commons, a beautiful park in the middle of the city. I gave my Ryka’s a workout walking to all of the sites. We are looking forward to going back for a visit in the summer to really see the Commons in full bloom.

The architecture in Boston is amazing. Row after row of four and five story homes and what seemed like a Church on every block.

This is the organ in the Christ Episcopal Church.

Goorin Bros. is a four generation family owned hat shop that we couldn’t resist stopping in. Hatitude!!

We got Chelsea’s name from a street sign in our neighborhood. Looks like it is a popular name in Boston too!

I took the picture of the ducks in a row in the Commons. Had to stop by “Cheers” and the trip wouldn’t be complete without a pic of the “Green Monster” at Fenway Park.
