NFL: Week 7

by on ‎10-26-2012 05:26 PM

The Atlanta Falcons stand alone as the only unbeaten team in the NFL after Week 7 of the 2012 season.  However, they need to be on upset alert as they put their perfect 6-0 record on the line against the Philadelphia Eagles this week in the “Battle of the Birds.” The Eagles offense can soar high on the wings of Michael Vick, LeSean McCoy and DeSean Jackson.  Of course, the Falcons have been flying high all season behind quarterback Matt Ryan and receivers Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez.

The Houston Texans have the second best record in the league at 6-1.  After putting on an awesome display of speed and power against the Baltimore Ravens last weekend they have a much needed bye week.  The Texans have perhaps the best defensive player in the league in defensive end J.J. Watt.  I don’t think I have ever seen a more athletic guy for his size in my life.

The Ravens, Giants, Vikings and 49’ers all boast 5-2 records.  However, the Giants seem to have it all working now and I look for them to continue their winning ways in a hard fought contest with the Cowboys in Dallas this Sunday.

Everybody has been talking a lot about Drew Brees and his amazing accomplishment breaking Johnny Unitas’ record for most consecutive games throwing a touchdown pass.  His record now stands at 49 and is phenomenal.  However, quietly sneaking up on him is Mr. Tom Brady of the New England Patriots whose streak now stands at 39 consecutive games.

This coming Monday, October 29, don’t forget to tune into the NFL Shop on QVC at 6pm ET.  The holidays are quickly approaching and I’ll have some great gifts for that NFL fan on your list. See you then!
