Jumbo Lump Crab Portabella Mushrooms

Our family loves to pick crabs during the summer.  As soon as the summer season begins we start talking about when we are going to host the event.  I love the sweet tender flavor of crab meat.  I was at the grocery store, again, looking for something different to cook for dinner, and saw the canned lump crab meat in the refrigerated section and came up with this recipe.



Jumbo Lump Crab Portabella Mushrooms

Ingredients:


6 large Portabella mushrooms
1 can lump crab
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup mayo
1 tbs. Old Bay seasoning
1/4 tsp. Worcestershire
1/4 cup white wine
Olive oil

Directions:



  • Pick through crab, remove any shells. 

  • In a large bowl mix crab meat, bread crumbs, mayo, Old Bay, Worcestershire. Form into crabby patties.

  • Sauté crabby patties for a few minutes on each side until golden brown (canned crab is fully cooked).

  • Clean mushrooms.  Drizzle each mushroom with olive oil and put a crabby patty on top.

  • Place in a casserole dish.  Pour in white wine.

  • Bake @ 350 for 20 minute.
