Snow Day Movies, Dinner for Two + Brand New Beauty Obsession

Weekend Recap:

Hello PM Stylers! I hope you had a good weekend My family came to visit this weekend, and we had a typical snowed in weekend. I don’t think we moved at all on Saturday, which was really nice. Have you seen the movie Captain Phillips? From start to finish we were on the edge of our seats watching this movie. It’s so unbelievable yet such a reality that something like that could happen and does happen. The actors in that movie did an incredible job and I almost can’t wait to watch it again! There is nothing better than a snow day with good movies. What’s your fav “snowday” movie? In the summer, when it’s thundering and lighting… my guilty bad weather movie is one of the Jurassic Park Trilogies! I. can’t. help. Myself.

This week I made a healthy dinner for my sweet Aaron, my step-sister Natalee, my dad, and step-mom. I took mixed greens and added corn, black beans, cilantro, green onion, and Monterrey jack cheese. I also added chicken baked in BBQ sauce and my Gilt Free Ranch dressing.

Gilt Free Ranch:

1/3 cup Greek non-fat yogurt

1/3 cup non-fat sour cream

1/3 cup buttermilk

tablespoon ranch seasoning

1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Pepper to taste

I think it’s easy to see why this is my newest Beauty Obsession… Look at the turn around! All of January I have been trying to get my skin in shape with peels and moisturizers to help get a fresh start to the New Year. This challenge included finding myself a new foundation that made me feel like I was in my own skin. I am LOVING this brand new formula from Tarte… A foundation and concealer in one? At first I thought, how could it be… would the formula be too light… too heavy?! This formula truly took my breath away with the results. If you can see my before, I have redness and uneven skin tone. Tarte’s foundcealer helps address all that thanks to red, yellow, purple, and green Amazonian clay components. As you can see my skin looks brighter, more even, and my splotchy skin is covered!

It goes on water light, yet after my first application I was ecstatic over the results. It was like my second skin, flawless, and protected with SPF. I applied the foundcealer with the concealer brush around my eyes, top of eyebrows, and around my nose. For the Foundation, I applied with the bigger side of the brush and it took no time at all. It blends like a dream and feels so smooth on my skin.
