I felt like Laura Geller was  my friend even before I met her.  My Dad got a magazine that profiled celebrities and their style evolution.  The article also commented on their makeup by expert artist Laura Geller.  I looked forward to reading it every month, not knowing someday I would be lucky enough to call her my friend!

"Just Sayin'," (one of Laura's favorite expressions), she is as funny and warm and fun to be around off the air as she is on the air. There is always a moment when we are on air together, when I am listening to her, that I forget that I am hosting the show and become part of  a captive audience. That never happens to me unless I am on with Laura.  We've spent wonderful times at the beach together, laughing, sharing stories, and just happy to be together.

One year I was helping a local school organize a career day. I asked Laura if she would come to speak to the students, since she is such a role model.  Laura is an artist, a business woman, a mother, and a great friend. I was thrilled when she said yes and booked her as our first speaker on the day.  QVC added a show to Laura's schedule and she had to work on air till after three in the morning. But the next morning, bright and early, she and Johnny were there ready to wow the students. And she did!

And she is ready to wow us once again this Friday on QVC!!! Here's a sketch one of my very talented co-workers and friends made for the TSV!
