To “My Girl” on her 42nd birthday.  Although I’ve only been around for the last three bdays, I can’t imagine there has been a more challenging several months leading up to this one than the past few.  True love is when the happiness of the one you love is more important than your own.  That’s how I feel about you.  I wish as a bday gift I could give you back what we lost a couple of months ago but that’s out of my hands.  For now, I can only give my love, my support, a pretty cool gift (which has yet to reveal itself) and my silly little love songs that you inspire me to write.  Who knows, maybe one day I will have the courage to record and post one but in lieu of that, here’s a few of my favorite lyrics from the “Shawn Songs” file, as well as the very first picture we ever took together (at the hippie winery) that always makes us smile.  Happy Birthday Sweetheart!
