Hello, Friends!

I love being out in the sun. Who doesn’t? Well, okay, I guess Dracula doesn’t. And, the Abominable Snowman doesn’t. And, anyone who makes a living carving ice sculptures doesn’t. But, aside from them, really—who doesn’t love to get outdoors and enjoy the beautiful sunshine?

When the weather is warm and sunny, you can usually find me out in the yard playing with my dogs, or entertaining friends in the garden. I’ve tried to combine the two activities by teaching my dogs to fetch trays of drinks for my friends… although, so far, that hasn’t been a big success. But, anyway…

Even a sun lover like me needs to take a break in the shade now and then. That’s why my ED On Air collection for spring includes these gorgeous umbrellas.

My team and I worked really closely with the QVC team to give these umbrellas my own personal spin. I chose the pigments to blend with almost any outdoor décor while adding a little pop of color. And, we paid lots of attention to detail. If you look closely, you’ll see that the solid umbrellas are made from a beautiful striated material that actually blends a few different tones into one fabric. We also developed a couple of striped options that will look great on your patio or deck. You know, some decks think stripes make them look fat, but I’ll bet yours can pull them off—no problem!

Oh, and by the way—these umbrellas aren’t just pretty. They’re practical, too. They do a great job of blocking the sun. So, if you really want to invite Dracula to your next afternoon barbecue… hey, I’m just sayin’.
