I must add to my great idea (somewhere above) that since the returning soliders (many of them) are jobless and on unemployment, they (many) would probably love to be able to protect the children, greeting them every morning, etc. and protecting them. Really, it would be a wonderful experience for them until they find their more permanant desired employment. And being paid from each state Lottery fund, well, it wouldn't cost the gov./taxpayers trillions and trillions.

What a wonderful idea! Couldn't agree more! Blessings.

While it's good we are honoring the deceased, it's unnerving to see so many posts (Viewpoints) that speculate the goings-on of the shooter & his family.

Webbie: Can we somehow put a moratorium on this subject & not allow postings during this time of year?

Great ideas. ITA. A moratorium is in order. Way too many posts. Time to end all the discussions.

I absolutely agree. So many standing in judgement. Stop it before it gets continually worse.

I send my utmost sympathy to the entire community of Sandy Hook at this time.

I also agree, time to end these discussions. Some comments are becoming accusatory and will degrade from here. While everyone is most certainly entitled to their opinions, I do think that out of respect, this is not the place. Talk to your congress persons about gun control/no gun control, etc. I can't help but think that if, at some point, persons directly affected by this tragedy who may come upon these threads, would be hurt even more by some of the comments here.

The tears in my heart are so so many

I struggle to find an answer but there just isn't any

My thoughts and prayers are with each and every family

Whose lives are forever changed by this awful tragedy

How can we grasp what happened that day

It may never be known I am sad to say

As a parent and grand parent I ache inside

It's a feeling of despair that I just can not hide

I sit, watch the news and cry each day

But it was worse when the names of the victims they did say

A child should be nurtured, safe and free to grow

The evil that deliberately took them I'm glad I do not know

God is walking with each and every single solitary soul

Because the vicious acts of another have certainly taken its toll

I say these things in prose for I know not what else to do

It's my way of showing my love as I'm sure is within you too

Many parents are dying inside and have no idea how to cope

But in the comfort of us united they may find some sense of hope

It's easy to tell the families to be courageous and to be strong

Let us as a nation do everything we can do to right this wrong

Yes, the order for this, our call to duty, is very tall

But we must stand together and protect the innocent be (s)he large or small

Lovingly submitted,

Xoticbrandi
