50 Cent Returns...With a Crowd

by on ‎05-01-2013 10:42 AM

There was a definite energy in the air as I walked through the turnstile doors.  You could just feel that something big was happening tonight.  The preparations were nearly complete by the time I arrived.  Months of phone calls, meetings, and planning had led up to this one moment.  I grabbed my headsets and as soon as I placed them on my ears, I was greeted with the nervous excitement of a production team that was ready.  Escorted by security, I made my way to the green room to find the real star of the night - it’s almost time.  The crowd has already filed into their seats so we wind up the back stairs to get into place.  The stage is set, the lights are dimmed, you can hear the crowd chanting something through the double doors.  It’s tough to make out exactly what they are chanting, but I knew whose name they were screaming.  After what seems like hours, I finally get the cue, “Send him through!”  I open the double doors from behind the crowd, “Here he comes!”  Just then I hear Dan Wheeler exclaim, “And here’s the man you’ve been waiting for...50 Cent!”

Even though 50 Cent is used to performing in front of thousands of screaming fans on a nightly basis, he genuinely enjoyed the chance to be in front of much more intimate live audience during his first hour long QVC show.

The QVC live audience show gave 50 Cent a rare opportunity to directly interact with fans of both his music and his headphones.

50 Cent even took some time after the show to answer questions from the crowd and even listen to an audience member’s impromptu rap.

I was honored to be a part of 50 Cent’s monumental 1st live audience show at QVC.  It was a great night and an awesome experience for everyone involved - 50 Cent and his team, the QVC production team, the audience members, and you at home.

This live audience show got me thinking back to the first concert I ever attended.  Oddly enough, it was Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young (yes all 4 of them).  What was the first concert you ever attended?
