At the end of 2013 I didn't think my life could get any better. The man of my dreams had asked me to marry him and all seemed right in my world. It was the beginning of December when Aaron took me out to a nice dinner and told me that he'd be giving me one of my Christmas presents early. At first I thought would be going to a Christmas play but when we arrived in front of an apartment building I knew something was up. As we got on the elevator Aaron looked at me and said he was getting us a dog for Christmas. At that point I just burst out crying because I couldn't have been more excited.

As soon as we walked into the apartment we met a dog named Jax, who was a beautiful Hound- Labrador-Pitbull mix. As soon as I got on the floor to meet my new baby, Jax decided he did not want me to be his new mommy. Between tearing up my faux fur vest, taking a number two next to me, and humping me as I walked away, it was at that point I decided that he was trying to tell me that he be happy or somewhere else.

Our next outing for a new fur baby took place at Main Line Animal Rescue. It was the third fur baby we saw that really melted my heart. Upon the opening of the doors, a puppy named "Mutt" came running towards me and leaped into my lap. He then ran over to Aaron to do the same thing but "Mutt" overshot his jump a little to the left causing Aaron catch him mid-air. I thought to myself "This is the man I'm going to be having children with. This is looking good."

From that point on we knew we had to make this fur-baby a part of our family forever. We named him Winston and from time to time we still refer to him as "a little off" from the first moment we met him :-). 

With that being said, April 10th is my baby Winston's birthday!! He will be turning two years old and is the best, most handsome dog on the planet!! Here's a look through the years...

Winston's first interaction with the girls, Allie and Millie. They're reaction was "Ugh, what's he doing here?"

Winston and Allie became quick best friends and can often be found watching TV together.

Millie still questions Winston all the time. She wonders why he doesn't understand she reigns supreme.

He is a boy that has bad hair days just like the rest of us.

Who enjoys the finer things in life...

Sometimes he can be a little bashful,

Pensive,

And playful.
