Lucy is our tiniest cat. She came to live with us, along with her sister Isabelle, the year before we moved to Pennsylvania. I was attending a pet rescue event in Santa Monica, California in 2003, and I spotted the two tiniest Persian Tortie girls I'd ever seen. They were like tiny lions, with shades of orange, brown, black and white swirls and stripes.....two "ferocious" little munchkins! They were the "leftover" pair, because they were so small and had very "smushed"  little faces due to  "over-breeding", that occasionally occurs with Persians. But I, and my god-daughter, Katy, instantly fell in love with them both! Katy's Mom would not let her keep one of the kittens, so they both came to live at our house. Isabel had breathing problems her whole life, and we lost her due to complications with her heart, about  2 years ago. Lucy had been just fine until this past Christmas, when our vet discovered a mass in her abdomen (presumably cancer) that is inoperable. But you would never know there is anything wrong! Lucy gets a special shot that is keeping the mass from growing any larger for awhile (although it's not a cure) and she is still happy as a little clam, purring, eating, playing and just being her overall tiny cute self! Keep her in your prayers for pets! We hope she is with us for a long time to come. She is my husband's FAVORITE of all of our pets, and he has taught her to play thumb/paw wrestling, which she plays with him nightly. (She always wins, of course!) Weight:  Tiny!! Less than 5 pounds (I like to eat a lot though!! Especially Gravy Lovers Fancy Feast! I can eat the whole can by myself!)

Favorite Fur Friend:  Was my sister Isabelle (you can see us together in one of the photos here....) I miss her

NEW Favorite Fur Friend:  The Boss Cat, Gray Poupon (He's my Bodyguard! You can see US together in another of the photos here.) Nobody better mess with Miss Lucy!!

Favorite Spot:  On my special chair that Mom put in the upstairs window in their bedroom, so I can look outside and see all the birds and the horses walking by!

Favorite Human:  My Dad!! I sleep with him every night and he always feeds me my breakfast before he goes to work downstairs. (I'm glad he works at home!) He also lets me win whenever we play "thumb/paw wrestling"!!

Favorite Q product:  A fluffy microfiber throw blanket that my Mom bought a while back! It's red with black paw prints on it and I love to get all bundled up in it and take a nap or watch my Mom on TV!!

Special request from Lucy:  Mom asked me to ask you to please say a prayer that I get better. ( I didn't even know I was sick!) She says someday I will go to a place called Rainbow Bridge, where my sister Isabelle and some of the other cats that used to live here, are waiting for me.....but she says it's too early for me to go right now. She says if you say a prayer I will stay here with her and my Dad a little longer and that would be PURRFECT!! XOXO
