January Fur Babies of the Month

Hello all you QVC Pet Lovers!


This month is a Fur Baby – 2 Fur!  (get it – two for!!!!! :-)  You’ll learn about my first 2 dogs that I ever owned as an adult – Jimmie and Johnnie!  They are now 13 years old – and – in honor of their birthdays – TODAY – I wanted to share them with you.  Please feel free to send your birthday wishes in your comments and I will make sure to read them to “the boys”!  :-)


 


January Fur Babies of the Month


1) Names:   Johnnie and Jimmie


2) Ages:   We turn 13 TODAY - January 12th!  We've lived with our Mom and Dad since we were 4 months old, when Mom discovered us "left over puppies" in shop window in Pasadena, CA! Mom had not had a dog since she was a teenager, and was looking for ONE special doggie for her and Dad! However, we were inseparable, and Johnnie cried REALLY loudly when Mom picked up Jimmie first, so she just HAD to take us both!! Johnnie is STILL the biggest Mama's Boy!!


3) Breed:  Cocker Spaniels (We are the Buff colored Cockers. Cockers come in all sorts of colors, but our fur matches our Mom's hair the best!)     


 


4) Likes:   Johnnie likes ANYTHING EDIBLE (especially chicken!) Jimmie likes when Mom reads him all the super nice viewer comments about him on her Facebook page! (Especially all the get well wishes when he had surgery a few months ago. He is fine now, by the way!!)


 5) Dislikes:   Johnnie dislikes other pets trying to steal his treats! (His eyesight may not be the best anymore, but his NOSE is better than new!)  Jimmie dislikes getting a bath...but loves the attention he gets afterwards!!


6) Best Fur Friend:  Each other!! (Although Johnnie is quite fond of Purrl the Cat....ever since she was a little kitten! Purrl was LAST month's Fur Baby!)



7) Can usually be found:  Johnnie's fav spot is right next to Mom and Dad's chairs in the kitchen or under the table, during meal time!! (He does NOT miss a crumb and loves to help Mom "clean" the plates after dinner!)  Jimmie's favorite place to be is either running next door to the horse farm to visit, or curled up on his fluffy bed in front of the fireplace in the evening while Mom and Dad watch TV or read.


8) Fav Q Product:  Johnnie actually has a FAV Q SHOW....In the Kitchen with David, especially the cooking and eating parts!! He loves David's Yum Yum faces, but thinks his OWN Yum Yum faces are almost as cute!  Jimmie's fav Q product is the Pupsaver Pet Safety Seat which was also the Q Sprouts Week Nine Winner! Mom bought several and now Jimmie and the pack can go for super safe and fun rides the the car! (One of Jimmie's FAV things to do!)  Both dogs also LOVE the Holiday Pet Treats set that they got from Santa (via QVC) this year! Johnnie and Jimmie's Pet Tip this Month:  Go out and adopt a SENIOR pet at your local animal shelter or pet rescue organization! We Senior Pets often get left behind because most people think they'd rather have a puppy or a kitten. But, we are GREAT PETS with still SO MUCH TO GIVE! We already know the rules and are well behaved and would love to spend our twilight years in a loving home, instead of a cage in a kennel somewhere. PLEASE CONSIDER ADOPTING A SENIOR PET!!
